new mods - please advise

i want my car to go faster and i would like to buy a few things in order to do this. i want about 300-320 hp/tq, but don't want to do too many things that i could have problems with at the dealership for service.

i have a race pipe that is not installed on the car and i think i've ruled out a downpipe. also not installed is a rear motor mount.

the only performance mods i have is a knock-off greddy valve and an ms cai.

i would like to hold boost until redline, but i know nothing about ems or tuning. please advise.

along with ems, please let me know of other bolt ons that would be advisable...fmic or upgraded tmic..what else?

look into the cpe FULLCONTROLL for ems tunning they are making good power with it.

fmic, tbe, cobb AP, i'd settle for a top notch bov so you aren't leaking even the slightest bit under stock boost, rpmc turbo inlet, and a motor mount of sort so you aren't losing any torque here and there. you should hover around ~300hp with all of this and your CAI.

What kind of gains can you expect with the turbo inlet upgrade? I have a CAI, but no exhaust changes yet. Just curious...

I say install your CAI, racepipe, and motor mount.... ditch the bov for a REAL one. I suggest if it's just for holding boost, go with a bpv (by pass valve). If you want some sound, buy the turbo xs hybrid (like I did) or the turbosmart. They both vent air, but also keep some in the system to make the computer happy for you don't stall, backfire etc.

I am assuming you want 300-ish hp to the crank.... thats not too hard. Adding a downpipe might get you there (I know you said you didn't want to go that route). As far as intercoolers, I have heard the upgraded TMIC or FMIC help some, but mainly keep power consistent by cutting down on heatsoak (this is accurate, right guys?).

Any upgrade to the stock intercooler will help with headsoak and power.

If you are looking for raw horsepower, look into boost controller, real BPV, Re-do all air flow to the turbo (intake and exhaust), motor mount, fuel pump?, Cobb AP so you can tune the computer to the mods,

and a 500HP shot of nitrous... you'll be the first on the forums with it. lol

Yea, I am the same way about the warranty. I got the MM, a BOV (get an HKS or forge for ease of removal), a Copp AP(does not add much to the peak hp/tq #'s but it changes the driveability of the car), step colder plugs (i have 25k on the car so it was time to replace them anyways) and shifter bushings. Most of the mods I bought help with getting the power to the ground, and being able to shift better. I can tell a difference with these mods already.

For higher #'s, and keeping in mind that you want easy removal, I would do an upgraded TMIC and not the FMIC. The TMIC is really easy to remove and *supposed* to give 20 hp/tq gains. Then when your warrenty wears out, you can sell it on the forums and go to the FMIC.

I am starting to really like the Cobb AP. It took like 40 mins to install the map the first time, but it was worth it. It allows for higher boost and it comes on sooner. Also, it helps with gas mileage.... I was averaging 34 mpg on the highway with a passenger and 150 lbs of cargo in the back.

I hope this helps.

thanks all for the responses.

i got the mm installed this weekend, but not the rp.
mm is nice. you can definitely tell there is extra power being put DOWN.

i am highly considering an fmic over the upgraded tmic. i just spoke with my service advisor and said that i could bring the car in for service with the fmic
