Just bought my first Mazda. Little gun-shy about forums. Joined the Mazdaspeed forum not paying attention. Not a very helpful bunch and seemed to to think if yo don't have a mazdaspeed you don't have any reason to be there. So I'm hoping this forum is more geared for the love of Mazda. I hope to learn more about engines and hear of any news for the Mazda 3 in particular. I have the 2013 3 base model. I chose this because I wanted my own tech package. Apparently this thought process made me a ricer..whatever. I'm hoping they crack the ECU issues to bring around the turbo and when they do this forum will be the first to talk about it. As far as I gathered from my research the problem they are having is tuning the car to handle the boost. Maybe i should have bought the mazdaspeed..but I am happy with my decision. I love the look of the sedan and with time and work anything can be made faster. I have no modifications as of yet, a little worried about what might ruin the warranty, also I work for the army so of course funds are tight. I have the aftermarket radio picked out, but of course have to wait until tax return to see what I can do. As I do work i will post pics more and more.
