Steering wheel Dye
Well the first thing to do is get a vinyl/leather spray dye.
I'm sure if you go to your Performance automotive store you'l find it. I really didn't use any specific brand.
Then you have to remove the steering wheel, and this is where the tricky part is. You need a pulling device that attatches to the wheel, called a "puller". Make sure the your wheels are straight before removing the steering wheel so you can place the wheel back into the right position.
After you have the wheel of make sure that you clean the section to be dyed using a degreaser f some sort.
Then make sure you tape off want you don't want sprayed.
The better the tape job the better the result.
Hang the wheel in the air using a wire.
It is important to know how to spray properly. Never spray in a continous motion, always in strokes as evenly as possible, first one way followed by the other.
Light coats is important. 3-4 coats i thought was sufficent.
After you feel that the wheel has been covered to your satisfaction, which means a uniform clolor throughout the wheel,
Use a clear coat spray with a "satin" not a a gloss finish to keep it looking like leather still.
Then wait to dry a couple of hours and done.
if you need to see pictures of the tool needed to remove the steering wheel let me know.
Hope this helps
