New Interior Paint Job pics!

Actually i already found a solution to the speaker grill problem. I'm gonna put the 6" speaker grills that came with my rear door speakers there. Mounted flush of course.

Looks good! I bet it was a b**** taking the center part out. I don't have the ballz to paint my interior. I am afraid that if I screw it up, then that's it, I am ******!!! How do you clean the painted parts, with a damp rag only? Just one of the things I wonder before attempting.:D

First, next time you take pics, its called a vaccume, do us all a favor and spare us the under the seat nose creatures (no), otherwise nice work.
Second what are you using to paint your calipers?

Yeeesh, didn't know I would have critics about the mess in my car. Its a work-in-progress buddy. If you feel like cleaning the hell out of your car everytime you want to take a pic go ahead. Me on the other hand, I have better things to do then vaccum my floor so your precious eyes dont have to look at a speck of dust.

And I'm using some special caliper/rotor paint thats good up to 900 degrees. You can pick it up at any Autozone.

Didn't mean to hate on you, just figured that if you're going to post a pic of your ride that it should be clean, it kinda takes away from the work you put in. No harm meant.

Its cool. I was stressed out when I replied anyhow. I'll be taking some clean pics of the interior when I finish it later today hopefully. I'm running out of Fusion!

That is lookin pretty sick! :)
I was wondering how you got the center piece of trim around the stereo and climate controls off?
I want to do mine in a carbon fiber finish but that's one piece I couldn't get off. All the others popped out (eg:around shifter) but that one didn't want to give and I was worried about breaking it!
Thanks...

I cant remember where I saw the diagram that showed how to remove it. you can try looking here http://protege5.ugly.net (thanks to another poster).

But it comes off easy actually. once you pinch the clamps in back holding it in with a pair of pliers (sp?) or something it should mostly come off.

After that you need to find the 2 black wires coming off the main AC unit.

You'll unhook them about 7-8" down the wires (DO NOT unplug them forcefully from the main AC control unit)

Then after that the whole thing (including the ac control) will come right off. You just need to unscrew the ac control unit off from the trimming.

I used that blue painters tape(comes off easy & clean) to protect the carbon fiber sides of the trimming.

Like I said, easy as pie.

Heres mine. I was cursed with the tan interior. I started to make it black...this is as far as I have gotten. not the best pic but meh.

Krylon Fusion?

yup Krylon Fusion. If you cant find the color you need at the local Autozone try Home Depot, they carry different colors for some odd reason
