New guy intro

Hey folks im Shawn from sacramento, CA. I just got a 03 spicy msp a few weeks ago. Just like to say this seems like a well organized community with a lot of sick mazda cars. Im new to owning mazda cars and in my garage I also have a 95 240sx as my daily driver and a 89 dodge shelby csx vnt project. So far my msp has an aem cai, greddy sp, and eibach prokits. I also have hesitation and the damn clunk. Pretty much my plans for now would be some sort of catless downpipe, fmic/smic, and something to fix the damn clunk. Anyways I'll catch you guys on the forums!

The 240 is kind of a work in progress that goes nowhere. haha. its a 95 se 5 speed with viscous lsd. as far as how it currently sits it has a UR pulley, exedy clutch, aem short ram and a 2.5" catback. Ive got a hotshot 4-2-1 header for it that I removed for smog and havent reinstalled. Also I had a guy fab me up a short runner intake manifold w velocity stacks which I havent yet installed. I was hoping to get cams and an aem ems and see what I can do N/A. Since I got the msp I dont know if im gonna keep with the 240 thing. Its been my daily driver for the last 3 years and im just tired of it. Its a great daily driver but not worthy of a garage baby since I wont pop for a SR. As we all know CA is horrible with smog laws. I also sold my apexi coilovers so I guess I pulled myself out of the mountain run/drift scene. Almost kill yourself a few times and you'll stop drifting too. haha.

Thank ya thank ya. Im so glad to become apart of another car community. Ive been apart of so many along the years and Ive really lost my enthusiasm along the way. I guess since I got the msp now I can dream about ball bearing turbos and titanium valve springs once again!

Too bad I don't live near you. I would take it off your hands as a project. A friend of mine has a RB25DET just sitting around with no car to go in.
 
Oh and FWIW, the best thing to cure the hesitation would be some sort of A/F controller, like the DSM AFC. Do a search and you'll find plenty of info!!

And you should get a cf hood to go with your cf eyelids (well, at least i assume they're cf, i suppose they could just be black... ??)
 
Thanks for the input guys. Your right those are cf lids and your right I do need a hood to go along with them. Oh for the hesitation prob. The dsm afc...is that the same as splitsecond?
 
yup. Its sold by a guy named DSM convert or something, i guess thats how it got that name?? but yeah, same thing.
