New Guy Checking In

Hello all,

New member here just checking in with my first post. I'm a soon-to-be MS3 owner, going to be picking up a CWP GT within the next 2-3 weeks.

I'm a previous MINI Cooper owner. Prior car was a '09 Cooper that I loved, had for 7 weeks, and then got punted into a concrete highway divider by a Toyota Highlander, totally my 3600 mile old car, and breaking my sternum in the process.(rant)

So, after much soul-searching, and driving multiple cars, including a new Evo X, a used Legacy 2.5 Spec B, a 'speed 6, the 'speed 3, and a Cooper S, I've decided on the 'speed 3. It just fits what I want the most of all the cars, and if I had looked at one prior to buying my Cooper, I might not have ever been a MINI owner.

Anywho, enough blabbing for now. Looking forward to getting to know some peeps on here and learning as much as I can about this great car! (I have a pretty extensive auto background, but this will be my first non-Miata Mazda, and my first turbo car since I sold my WRX in 2005.)

Best Regards,

-Ben

Sweet, I'm getting mine within that time period too -- Sports though.
And hello, my name is Ben too.

Nice to meet you.

Ouch man, that sucks out the mini! CWP is a b**** to keep clean, but it's amazing when it is.

You will not miss the Mini. The MS3 will do everything you could do in the Mini--only BETTER. And the dash wont look like it was designed by Ronald Mcdonald!!

welcome to the world of ms3 - it's a fantastic car.

i've had two other sport compacts - a focus SVT and GTI 1.8T. the ms3 combines the great handling of the SVT with the power of a 1.8T with all of the bolt-on's. simply a great car.

i've driven some mini's - very fun car, but strikes me more like an annoying little kid compared to the more grown-up ms3.
