New Exhaust for Mazdaspeed Proteges

i was in contact with John @ etdracing yesterday, he gave me about the same info. He said "there is about 8" of 2.5" pipe and then it flares to 3".

This system comes with O2 bungs and cat converter. This system is 100% bolt-on, worry free." b/c I was worried about where it mounts to the turbo. It looks really nice, i just wish I could get a sound clip, but i like the way you described it, deep rumble, no ricey s***. i am definetely up for a group buy, and probably going to buy it no matter what, just what i have been spending countless hours researching before purchasing, i was almost settled on Apex DP and Greddy SP2 catback. And you say it goes over the rear axle right?

I noticed that is in canada, i wonder how long it would take them to ship it here in the states without any problem.

should not be much of a problem at all, also for those of you that do not know ETD racing is a very well respected company for making some very sick cars

hey dude, doesnt that look like the Essential speed exhuast?

Yes it does, but here is the scoop on that from what I have been told by numerous people. Vibrant wanted to build an exhaust for the MSP, they asked ETD and ES to design the exhaust I thought, or maybe they designed it and asked ETD & ES to quote on the construction, I am not sure which way it went. Either way Vibrant has not released it and the last time I spoke to them they were looking at having them build in China somewhere.

So I guess that ES and ETD are both making the same damn thing cause they are exactly the same from what I can tell. Trust me ETD is not getting them from ES I can be pretty sure of that.

That exhaust is hawt. Way hawter than the GHL. like the looks of that res and can way better. a Exhaust that gets bigger as it goes out is best for low backpressure.

since when is backpressure something turbos like?

He was saying that's the best way to reduce backpressure, although I'd think going 3" off the bat would have less backpressure than 2.5" to 3". Either way, I think this might be the exhaust I'm going to get depending on if we can get a GB or not.

Even without a GB, it isn't to badly expensive. You think this is the way to go over a EVO2?? I'm torn between the 2.

True, I'll probably get the exhaust either way, but with an already great price, GB pricing would be pretty nice hehe.

like wise

its 2.5 so it will mount up to the turbo a lot easier.

Quick question: Will this thing bolt up to a DP like GHL's because I just need the catback section. Or, will I be able to just order the catback section and not the DP section, since I already have one that's bolted up to my turbo? The muffler and everything looks really nice, and I'm definitely not looking for a noise maker here, just something that will give me more power and not attract a lot of attention.
