as a few pointed out...it is higly doubtful that the next M3 will look identical to that once in production...

But Chris Bangle is nuts...and is trying his hardest to change the entire "classic" distinction from the BMW line, into his "technically sophisticated" look...the 7 and 1 series conecpts got the raw end with that, then the 6 (looks merely ok...I would never buy it) and the 5 series (I do like that one) are a little more realaxed...and the Z4 is just wierd...sometimes it looks cool, and other times it is horrid...

that M3 is years away though...there is an upcoming M5 and M6 scheduled for an early 05 release...with a 5+L V-10 making over 500 BHP...and the spy pics of the M5 at "theRing" make it appear to be barely more aggressive than stock...something most of the M cars have carried...it has bigger/wider wheels, a different front fascia, its lowered a little, and the obvious M-mirror and exahaust changes...

That first pic is a cool concept I think...but don't b**** about how it looks terrible and about how BMW is doomed until you see it on the street...and chances are...you won't...

Gotta remember, these are spy shots of the concepts. They mask the distingusing features so that folks cannot see the true look before they release official pictures. If you look at both cars, you can see the plastic and tape they have over the front and rear. If you knew that, then carry on!(smoke)
