new CX-9 owner

I just picked up a CX-9 a few days ago. It's a Grand Touring AWD with Nav, sunroof and the power liftgate. Black inside and out.

I was looking for a GMC Acadia, but in the end I was turned off by the price and the service / sales folks at the GMC dealer.

So far I've been pleasantly surprised by the CX-9. My sales guy didn't show me audio over BT from my cellphone until after I was moving my stuff from my old car to the CX-9... I would have caved earlier had I known that!

Anyway, happy CX-9 owner here. Looking forward to the detail tomorrow. (drive2)

We got a black on black this week as well. Love it! I absolutely love the bluetooth feature. My salesperson didn't know much about it, but it only took about 5 minutes to set it up. And, the contacts rolled right over!

Yeah, the phonebook transfer is nice, though I need to research it a bit more. I have multiple contact "groups" on my device, so it's not clear which group moved over. I also need to find out how to delete a contact, without deleting the entire phonebook.

I had the car detailed today. Pic attached.

How much under sticker should folks expect to get their cars at? We are getting ready to get a Touring model.

I just picked up the same model last Wednesday!

I also picked up my 2010 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring AWD in Black with Black interior, NAV, sunroof. I replaced my 2000 MPV ES with 106,000 miles. I was extremely satisfied with the MPV but wasn't actually looking to but a CX-9. I was looking at the Hyundai Veracruz Limited, Ford Edge Limited and Grand Cherokee Limited. I was very dissappointed in the Veracruz, like the Edge and couldn't find a Jeep that I liked. I was very surprised at the CX-9. My family loves it and my wife and I love the fit and finish and all the great gadgets! I should have trusted my experience and gone for the CX-9 right from the get-go. Good luck with yours!

The other day at lunch, my co-worker was talking about the Infiniti's new blind spot warning system.
He sounded like that is a very advanced feature that only certain luxury brands have it. I told him that my Mazda CX9 has had it for more than 3 years (since 2007 model)....
He was like "Really?.....Mazda?...".
I was like "Yes, Mazda."

Don't be showing up the man like that. BSM is advanced and is a luxury option...It's just not new.:)

Black on black AWD is the way to go....drove it on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia today, scary how smoothly you can hit 80 mph without knowing it.

When I bought mine in '07 I looked at the Acadia too. Even after family GM discount it was still too pricey for me. I told the dealer all the options on the GT with bluetooth to boot, as the Acadia required a dedicated phone # and yearly contract, and I said fact is I can get the CX-9 for $10,00 less even after the GM family discount. The dealer was floored and too proud to come down any more. You did good with going for the 9. The interior material quality is much better than the standard hard plastic GM interior.

Nice picture, the car actually doesn`t look bad despite the new smiley from that angle!
Mmmmm you got more pics?
Post them!!!
The car comes with the same bridgestone tires as before??

Yeah, it's amazing how much more for your money you get with the 9

Hi all,

My wife and I just got a Black CX-9 Sport over the weekend. Overall, like the car, but there are a couple of annoyances. First of all, it was my mistake for not noticing that Sport trim doesn't have auto headlights, so that's kind of a bummer. Our old chevy malibu has that option. Second when we shut off the car, the dome lights don't automatically turn on. They only turn on when we open the door(s)s. Do you guys know if there's a way to reprogram the car so that the headlights go off when the car is turned off without turning off the switch, as well as the dome light?

Thanks in advance.

Someone else complained a while ago about the light not going on...I think it pissed him off so much that he eventually got rid of the car because he couldn't figure out how to exit the car in the dark...Not sure I ever heard a solution to change this.
