Would have been a better test in my opinion if they all had the same tires given that this was a traction test. I am not saying the results would have been any different, but if the point was to show that the AWD system is better, then the tires should have been the same.

Too add to GAXIBM, if you leave the lights on (auto or not) they shut off after a few minutes when the car is turned off.

When I 1st got my CX-5, I adjusted the delay until the lights turn off. I set mine to 0 thinking this would cause the lights to turn off immediately, I discovered that 0 is the setting for "do not turn off at all" and when set to 0 there is a warning sound. I set mine to the shortest time for auto-off that was greater than 0 to minimize the time they stayed on without defeating the auto-off feature.

Generally standard tires are used for vehicle comparisons, the vehicles unmodified. The test compares AWD systems on vehicles as equipped from the factory.

Aftermarket tires is another comparison test often done.
