New black MP5 owner

Hey everyone! I'm glad I stumbled onto this forum! I hope all is well with everyone! Well, just wanted to get some input on my car. I just purchased a black MP5 with the following options:

manual trans
6 in dash CD changer
16" alloy wheels
ABS and side airbag
moonroof

I live in Philly, PA and I paid $17500 total in cash for the car.

Now, I wanted to know from everyone what's the first thing a newbie in aftermarket parts should do to my car. I know one of the first things I will do is tint, but I want more power in my car. The car is completely factory, I haven't added anything except some color pedals. I am open to ALL suggestions! THANKS!!!

WELCOME! You will find alot of knowledgable people here who help you with any and everything! Sir Nuke should be by shortly to welcome you properly(you'll see!).

My 1st mod was a drop-in K&N air filter. Not really a "performance" mod, but it will give you better gas milage, may improve throttle response slightly, and will last forever(Almost)! And for $40, you can't beat it.

(cheers2) The first thing I got was a <a href="http://www.srmotorsports.com/protege.htm" target="_New">SR Motorsports Cat-Back Exhaust</a> Nice deep tone and good performance gains too. Then I followed that with a cold air intake. After that I got a little over board. And I'm not done yet.

Word of advise... Stay away from car washer with that black beauty. You'll notice swirl scratches show easily. Hand-Wash only.

first thing?? TURBO! no im just kidding althought that would give you power...

Go for audio if you dont want to risk warranty voiding, but if you have to have power go with intake and exhaust. Rims and springs will be more for looks than anything, and do a search for pics, they make a big difference.

First thing is first, get a kartboy short shifter with the bushings, you wont regret it.

azeli73, yeah, I don't go to car washes. I either go to the self-wash kind with the high pressure hose, or do it myself!

i just ordered a set of the gauge rings and they were $30 + s&h .. you can get them in brushed or polished/chrome finish.. they are custom made, so I am on a list waiting for mine to be crafted
