New and Very Happy Owner

2014 CX-9 GT Tech AWD * 2002 Protege5
Picked up my new 2014 GT fully loaded (with remote start and towing) last week. Zeal Mica red with Sand Interior. I looked at about everything in this segment: GX460, QX60, MDX, GL450, Q7, Enclave, Acadia, Explorer, Durango, Santa Fe. Mazda was the second one I test drove and the last. After looking at all/ driving the ones that passes the showroom test, the CX9 was the clear winner. It was clearly the most fun to drive and it did not feel like it was over engineered. Being a Mazda (our 4th over the past 25 years), the quality and reliablity were in the right place. Others were scratched off the list due to 3rd row size, reliability/trust issues, or simply my gut told me that it was not the car for us. Bought the car from another city/state so within 15 mins of signing all of the papers, I was road tripping 200 miles back home. Car is everything I hoped it would be. I love the way it drives and feels on the road. Its quiet and ergonomically, it works for me. Kids like it (they were in a 2004 Sienna before but I have heard grumbling about the missing of captains chairs). This vehicle has to be the best value for the dollar.

Welcome to the forum Scrawd! That's great to know the CX-9 held up against some pretty stiff competition in the luxury Japanese and German market. That, and price takes them out of consideration for most.
