New 2025 CX-5 Turbo Owner

Ed, any particular reason you traded the '22 or did you just want to treat yourself?

To madar: My brother-in-law has the CX5 2022 and is very happy as his daily driver. When he gets the urge for acceleration, he dusts off the Corvette.

The CX-5 Turbo is a sleeper though...I've surprised a few hot heads wanting to pass me. The look on their faces is priceless, haha

I don't get those kind when I'm in my GT/CS stang for some reason...

Three weeks in black on black 25 CX-5 T P. Third in the row after two NAs. What a difference...

Two questions.
1. I hear not too loud clicking/buzzing noise while accelerating on the left on the engine, on any gear, any temperature. Only when pushing on accelerator pedal. Unelated to topical engine noice. Any of you can confirm that this is normal before I get on the dealer?

2. My break pedal feels a bit stuck on initial touch. After that is normal until next braking sequence. Seams like hinges are too tight and are galling a bit. Again, is this topical early breaking process or Mazda is going south with this Gen.

Love to hear from anyone.

Buzzing (mosquito like) sound is normal when turbo kicks in and under load. if it stops when you stop pressinf the gas pedal, its all normal.

I don't know about the brake pedal. Mazda pedal feel is weird vs other cars I have/had.

Thanks a lot. It is such a relief. Last thing I want the dealer to start destroying brand new machine.

I need to take look at the pedal machanism myself. It may need to be lubricated metal on metal.

Otherwise I love it. Turbo does the magic...

What is this buzzing sound you speak of?
I will try to record it later. See how this goes. It is low pitch clicking, buzzing I would say, and it happens only when foot on the accelerator pedal. My other NA doesn't have it so it must be turbo related. Too loud to be ignored for my taste.

I mean I have a sound that's kind of like that when it's cold outside but the engine doesn't have to be loaded. In fact it usually does it when I let off the gas at low speeds.

It is pretty cold since I got it, but it seems to be opposite what you say N7turbo. It is always there on cold or hot engine. Maybe high pressure fuel pump is not happy?
Let me see if I can record it later.

Hi there . Recording did not really work out well. But I found this thread below many points to high pressure fuel pump. So I am resting this case for now. Thank you all for help and sorry for hijacking this post. 🙂
