New 2008 Mazda3 S Touring!

Well, after much research and debate with the dealer, I got my Mazda3! (drive)

The car has the 2.3L w/ 5spd Auto. Moonroof and 6-disc CD & the S Touring Package.

The invoice was $19,400. I got it for $1,400 below invoice at $18,000 plus TTL which came out to $20,000 OTD (cool)

Driving home, I must say, I LOVE THE CAR! Wow! Even without the Bose package, the radio is awesome! It's loud and clear. The car handles and rides so smoothly.

I'm SO GLAD I went with the Mazda3 instead of the Corolla. The Toyota dealer wanted another $2K+ for the Corolla S.

The '09 Mazda3 sedan has a trunk release button on the key fob, I know it's a little thing but I have an '07 and I was just t-boned in it and I was so excited because I get to buy an '09 now! Great color! Glad you ditched the Toyota too!

I looked at Corollas too, and it's such a boring car. Drum brakes. Wimpy engine. Awful handling. More money.

The major difference is that the interior on the corolla is more well-made and doesn't fall to pieces like the Mazda does. That's my one big gripe about this car. I have 9k miles on it and I'm already thinking of getting rid of it because one thing I can't tolerate is having the entire interior rattle like a snake every time the road gets a little rough.

I have an 04 mazda3 S and my GF has an 04 corolla S and she has had more interior issues and has more air noise and tire noise in the cabin then my 3 and i have lowered it, +1 the wheels and added other suspension and go fast goodies and my interior is still pretty much rock solid with 62K on the odo and hers is not so much. i think at this price point in cars 20K +/- 2500 its a crap shoot with interiors. unless you jump up to the 25k+ range i don't think you will see anything significant.
