Anyone have a ballpark guess at how long the drive to the final meeting point is? I need to plan a good mix CD to get me there and last the whole run =)

I think it is just under an hour from Foxboro to the bridge so if we leave Target at 8:00 we should be good.

Looks like I'll be able to clean up the car on Sat, tuck her away for the night, and head down for a sweet Sunday. 62 and clear- doesn't get much better than that!

When I went back to CT last weekend I went through a checkpoint in Westbrook, and a cop got me for the front plate, and just to be a dick, got me for 'illegal tints' and excessive exhaust noise. I also noticed that he checked the box that gave me 20 days from the date of the ticket to get it fixed or my registration is getting suspended.
So i have to drive back to CT, leave my car with the rents, and take my moms car back up to MA so my dad can bring the car to his friend to get it 'inspected'
s***! I was so psyched for this too. And now i gotta figure out where I'm putting my lisence plate because i dont have the front mount brackets and im not pulling off my bumper. ugh. Maybe i'll still do the cruise...just it'll be in a Sebring Convertible =\

just do the cruise then drop the car off at the rents....i might have a zoomzoom license plate frame to give away at the cruise...would go well on your new plate

I'm already bringing the car tomorrow, my dad's bringing the car to his friend on saturday. Problem being I have to work on saturday before the car will be accesible again, and I can't justify driving back and forth that much, I'll be dead by Sunday.
Oh and I have the plate, I just need to get it on the front of the car =\
I won't be able to get my car until this coming Saturday, the 13th too, because of school.

Tip: When coming up to a check point, never rev engine and always put your windows down. Sometimes even legal tint won't pass their inspection...especially if they are looking for something to write you up for. They can ask you to roll up your windows so they can test them but you don't have to agree to it.

Thing was, I was at about 2k, just puttin along behind some traffic. and i would love to put my windows down, but its hard to do fast enough with manual windows =\

You need to speak up for yourself.
Tell him it isn't legal
Tell him you bought the car like that
Tell him the car is originally from florida
Eh regardles, if he didn't test it, that part of the ticket will not hold up in court.

Yea, I know, but you can't bulls*** your way out of anything with this guy, I've dealt with him before, and so have my friends, and even my dad. You just sit there and hope he screws up something so you can get it thrown out.
I'm going back to CT tomorrow and talking to the guy that did my tints and see if he has the stickers or if i have to go through the DMV to get them. If its the DMV then I'll argue he never tested them, and just eyeballed it.

Never the less, I think I may join the cruise regardless, just won't be any Mazda love for me =(

No, it was in CT. You've never gone through a checkpoint? In my area in CT they do them alot near holidays, some they actually stop traffic on main roads to check for seatbelts and drunk drivers and what not. This one looked like it was set up to get people like myself, with a stupid little something that doesn't really matter, but technically is illegal(front plate not mounted on front of car) or get people on their cell phones, since thats illegal in CT now too.
