NEPOC Meet/Fun Run - Cape Cod, MA - 5/7

I'll be taking 295 to 495 S, what exit are you guys meeting at again? Anyone in my area wanna caravan, lemme know! (That goes for you Tony!)

From where you are, it's prolly faster to take 195 instead of driving up to 495. If there are any RI'ers you can carpool with them. Otherwise plan on meeting us along the canal.

I could take 195, but I've never gone to the cape that way. Anyone know how I'd get to the canal from there?

Drive to the end of 195. Merge onto Route 25 East. Get off at the last exit before the bridge and head along Route 6 East until you get to the meeting place.

Do we know the exit# before the bridge, lol. Unless the signs are obvious, I'm just not familiar w/ the cape...

im actually thinking of going out saturday night and staying at the bournedale village inn. It is directly across the street from the parking lot we will be meeting in.

I just called and they have rooms available which are 67 per night including tax (i think it was a little less last time).

It was nice last time to not have to get up at the ass crack of dawn to drive out to meet for 9am and then drive way back at night, instead we just had a few beers on the patios of our rooms and we all went out for seafood the night before the cruise at that place mark mentioned. Most of you (if not all of you) are closer though so this probably isnt as reasonable sounding.

The exit before the bridge is pretty damn obvious. You'll see the bridge...and you don't want to go over it. When you get off the exit you will need to go 3/4 the way around a rotory. Just follow signs for Route 6 east towards Sagamore.

I'll be getting on 495S at exit 14 (Route 1) so I can meet you at Exit 10 if you want. That's probably only 10-15 minutes from where we'd be meeting Mark though.

I can meet you at 14 if you like. Exit 4 is a way's down.

what kinda timeframe did u have in mind for the whole shabang?

bourne to hyannis is only like 35 minutes, and since I imagine we are taking the service road instead of 28 or 28a because it is a long straight shot with fewer coppers better suited to spirited driving I cant imagine it will take us much longer than the 35 or so mapquest says it will take along route 6.

If we are going to be wrapping it up early thats fine...i can just spend the afternoon cruising back along route 1 to CT...just curious as to what you had in mind.

I anticipated this, thus made our last stop in Hyannis on Main St. Like I said, these are my stomping grounds so if there's anything you are looking to do, I'm your 411. There are lots of local shops, bars, food, and the beaches are just down the road if we want to do a photoshoot. I was also thinking we do a quick photoshoot in the Canal parking lot before we all head out. Setup the cars with the canal/bridge in the background. We might be early enough to get everyone together in the shot. Not tourist season yet.

Sounds like a good idea. If you get there early you can just direct people on where to park when they pull in. I know motivating people to move their cars after they have arrived never seems to work out.

Bruce, I can meet you at exit 14 if that isn't out of your way. I'll see if I can find an easy spot to meet at.

I'M SO EXCITED!
I wish I had more s*** done on my car so I don't end up looking like the group runt.
