NEPOC: Meet/Dyno-Day 5/14

sound like fun for anyone?
Personally I dont care about putting my car on the dyno, but I know a lot of our members are interested in it for their own rides....I was also just over on the 6 forums and they were talking about a possible dyno meet in the area....so I figure why not have NEPOC organize one and invite all the mazdas around (like we do for all our meets)

I went to dynojet.com and they have a bunch of locations around New England....The two best ones (location wise) are in Worcester, MA (http://www.nedyno.com/) and the location in Putnam CT.

Its a bit of a rundown middle of nowhere town, but I vote for Putnam because it seems to be a little more central, 2 hours from NH, 2-3 from parts of CT where a lot of members are, probably 2 from Mark..etc....and I grew up a couple towns over from putnam so I know the area very well and there are some great scenic/twisty roads to cruise on before/after.

So I propose that we make it an all day thing, dyno-meet-food-cruise.

nedyno is a real nice place, i go there when i dyno. i dont know the other place but i can say that nedyno is a nice place.

I dont know anything about pricing or how to set this up so I guess I will give em a call this week and we can take it from there.

Once we have some solid info I will post on the other forums. I bet rx owners will be interested and like i said some 6 owners were talking about one of their own..

looks like worcester is a more central location, but I still vote for putnam due to its more rural setting and the nice roads for cruising nearby

anyone else have preference?

well i just used yahoo maps to see distance from greenwich to both areas. pretty much its the same thing for me to be quite honest with you. from my perspective, putnam is a little closer then worcester so i guess my vote goes towards putnam. but then again thats me as a ct person speaking. and depending how i am mod wise. right now i am stock and should be having springs and struts installed soon to my car so we shall see what happens.

Putnam is fine. Don't know if I will dyno, my car is basically stock. Pretz, you may be able to work something out for tuning also. It will be time consuming but there may be time enough. Lets see how many we have going and then we should see if you can dyno tune at the same time.

don't be bashing good old worcester.....there are a nice roads outside of the city for some cruises.....

Well, due to the timing I may be nowhere near New England, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. I just want to lean the car out just a smidge. Gettin tired of all this black soot and no power.

Not sure if I'll be able to show. The 14th is a work day for me, but on the same note....I may be laid off by then anyways. Not really too interested in dynoing the car, but I'll try and show up to meet some of the locals.

Worcester isn't a cruising kinda city, you gotta take the highway to get around. We could do hot laps around the mall.

anywho, If I get Beta up and running, I'll be down for a dyno day in Putnam.

this sounds like fun, id go obviously not to dyno because i know my car is slow,and i dont want to know how bad it really is, but id go for the food and cruise
