what does you FI 2.5 put out......

:( the avatar is just wishful thinking, lol!(actually a pic of the concept mps 626 with a twin turbo klze awd that never happened) I was just confused about a couple of things about the mx6. The rpm that the sampling was started at seemed alittle low and I didnt hear the awesome sound of the vris. But that could either be a stock intake on it or poor sound in the video. I would image that my tired old pgt would probably net something in the upper 130's or maybe 140's if I was lucky...I just dont have alot of faith in the hp ouput of my 140k 2.5L. It has been really well taken care of so I think the 140's mark might happen. Sweet videos! I always enjoy dyno days but at the sametime I have had my feelings hurt at the dyno! I now go to the dyno with low expectations. The pgt/mx6 was never a "fast" car but it sure is fun to drive.

No intake, completely stock except for a catback. Vris did kick in, I'll post up my graph tommorrow. I think it got 144hp,141tq.

good stuff! I have always loved that color mx6. What did it put down?

thanxs, the color is growing on me. Now that I got some good baselines and compression checks out perfect on all cylinders, it is time to start with the bolt-ons. I got a hotshot headers & intake already waiting to go in. Along with a hi-flo cat. Then I'm going to try it again and see just how much of a improvement.

Well, it seems that your numbers show a good baseline to start modding with. I wish I could have found an mx6 at the price I paid for my second probe but I dont have than kind of luck. It would have been nicer to start with a car that was lighter. But oh well. Good luck with your modding and I hope the mx6 treats you right. I have just an intake, greddy cat back, and a rr shrt shifter. Sitting in my spare bedroom I have a set of tokico 5-ways with ground controls, frotn adjustible upper strut mount plates, addco rear sway bar, prd rear strut tower brace, b-pilar brace, floor brace, custom made adjustible sway bar endlinks, oem new lower front control arms with bushing pressed in, and so pheno intake manifold spacers. All I waiting on right now is purchasing a set of awr motor mounts and a flywheel and clutch combo. After I pick up all that, the install begins....

Sounds like a nice set-up. I gonna do those header/intake and then begin on suspension-rotors, pads, brake lines, strut/spring/mounts, and sway bar.
The list never ends.
