Mine died over the week, getting one hopefully today...

get one with as many CCA's as possible (Cold Cranking Amps) or itll have a hard time starting in the winter

the reason i bought my redtop optima battery was from a video i saw online of an rx-8 that switched to it. the sound of the crank went from the usual cranking sound to a constant whine. they never lose power in the copld either. i got mine on amazon in two days for i think 130. i can leave my radio and headlights on all afternoon and still have 11.9v. things a beast.

Do you have the Mazda High Performance battery? I believe mine was changed during the recall. Has never failed me.

Not sure, whatever came with the car. Problem is the car sat around collecting dust for 2-3 years being shipped from dealer lot before I came along. When I got the car I popped the top off the battery and it was bone dry inside...I'm surprised it lasted a year lol.

i know that in some new cars, it will throw the cel when its time for routine servicing at a certain mileage mark.. dont know if thats the case but it could be
