NEMOC Random BS Thread

Heh. It's so much nicer come spring when everything blooms. You should have seen the shrubs before I trimmed them all. I still need to cut down the side of the Holly next to the driveway. It's impeding on my safe access into the garage. The owner wanted to pull all of them out, she was concerned about them rubbing against the house. I love yard work though. Any thoughts of improving it?

I do. I think a trip tp Josh's house this spring and we'll come up with some ideas. (nana)

Speaking of landscaping, it reminded me of the old abandoned house that was across the street from mine when I lived in Lee, MA. You could barely see it when covered by foliage.

This was the converted church I was living in. The brown section to the left was the added on kitchen. The huge church bell was in the dirt basement resting on 2 large blocks of wood. I lightly tapped it once with the gong inside....very bad idea.

i would have used that bell for my door bell. lol. BOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGG!!!!! did someone ring the doorbell dear? i had the tv turned up.

Dude, it would have shaken the whole house. Funny thing about the TV. The road we lived on was a the old travel route before the Mass Pike was built. It's still used by truckers and every now and then we would catch a bit of their CB conversation through the TV. At first I was spooked and then realized what it was. Oh, and my house was surrounded by woods. I would hike through it and find many interesting things like this old rusted out 1930s car. Wish I took pics.

That's true. Although it does have more powerful features, and a 3G version. The name just kills it for me. Can you see some dude saying to his friends..."Hold up a sec, I need to grab my iPad".

Aside from the 1Ghz processor I dont see anything more powerful in the features department.

4x3 screen is a huge let down.
No multitasking on a tablet is dumb too.
The bezel is ugly.

I was hoping for a closer to real OSX operating system for it, rather than a stretched iphone os.

I am keeping my money until a decent version comes out. I was really excited about it until yesterday, I was looking for a sit on the couch computer without having to get my old laptop out of storage. The old laptop is barely that, it was touted to be a desktop replacement, so its about 4in thick and 12lbs. Dell Inspiron 9100. I have an iMac but wanted something more than the iphone for couch browsing.

My iPod touch is fine for looking up stuff with the IMDB app (ie, where have I seen this actor before?) as well as checking the forum. But anything involving lots of typing I need to use the computer...but if that's the case, the iPad wouldn't help me anyway other than the keypad is bigger. Size isn't the problem though, it's tactile feedback.

Look under accessories, they sell a separate keyboard. I like my touch just for the fact it's small and portable. It'll be interesting to see how the market will adopt the iPad.

The name iPad is really starting to bug me.. What awful marketing.. I think I'm going to refer to it as the iNotepad or something..

Oh snap! Just got the call from After FX Customs. I will be designing their new website. Woot! Some of you may have seen their vehicles. Like at the Boston Auto Show.

Here's some from the Centerfolds show.

Heh, they do some crazy s*** I admit. But much of what they do themselves and show, are for the show circuits only. Those are just 2 photos I had. They work on Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes, motorcycles, etc. They just came back from Scottsdale Arizona, at the Barret Jackson Auction and where in the booth with DuPont Registry. Just signed a one year contract deal.

You have to admit, the airbrush work is intense. Check out the pics. http://www.altspace.com/nepoc/91309/

OMG awesome night at Elements drum'n'bass at Phoenix Landing in Cambridge. It was the 11-year anniversary night, the resident DJs pulled out all the best tunes. Danced the night away. My knee dr wouldn't have been that happy, but I tried not to pivot on the knee and not land on it locked straight. Too lazy to ice it. Straight to bed! Blowing off half a day of work tomorrow.

Nice Oleg!

Morning All and Happy Friday. Stay warm if you can, it's bitter cold and high winds.

Morning all. Cold here in Nashua. -6 with the wind chill. Will be working on Oleg's P5 on Sunday if anyone wants to join.

we need one of these :d

so, i find it funny that one second i'll check the forum and there's nothing new, then 5 minutes later most the new posts are updated, and i can't keep up.

Btw, working from home ftmfw. And i have a show in a week...ahhhhh!
