NEMOC Random BS Thread

Morning folks. It was Woonsocket, yes I was there for most of the day. The owner of the body shop is a really nice guy in his 50s. It's a family owned biz that he took over. Started working there as a teen. The original shop was just a couple bays. Now it's bigger than 3 of my houses combined. I drooled over the large spray booth and watched as they were painting. He had around 13 cars inside alone getting all kinds of work done.

yeah true.. now its blinding black mica or black mica glass or what happends when u stay up for 2 days in a paint booth black mica hahaha..

Haha...awesome! I've owned 3 black cars, one that went through a similar process, though only 3 layers of clear. It's a great skill to have.

The 2-tone would be sweet if done right. I just started working with the guy so we shall see.

Morning All! Keep your fingers crossed for me, might be getting a new job! Normal people hours, no holidays! WOOT! Might actually come to a lot more meets!

Awesome Tony!

A friend did this of my car. The chapstick is for size reference.

Morning all and wish you luck Tony. By the sounds of things I am going to guess you are changing fields?

Good News!!! Going in tomorrow for the 2nd Interview, and as the lady put it on the phone, " It's basically to finalize salary and hours, welcome to the company"......WOOT WOOT!!!

It's still railroad related. I will be an Assistant Terminal Manager. Company is called Northeast Vehicle Services in Spencer, Ma. They unload new autos off of railcars. It's how I started on the railroad, as an unloader. And now with my management experience, and experience as an unloader for 3 years, conductor for 4 years, They are very interested in me due to experience on the railroad and in the field they handle. I'll basically be a baby sitter for all the guys who work there. But with my work downsizing and the threat of being laid-off I had to look around. This place was quick to call me back. I think even if they offered me a little less I would take the job. Because even if its less money its still going to be more than I am going to make from unemployment. So here' to a new job!!!! WOOT!

Good morning gang.

Congratulations and good luck Tony.

On another note, did not realize that I was missing a lug nut from the spare tire after the other morning blow out. Called the guy that I've being talking to at Tire Rack and he sent me another lug nut the next day and did not charge me for it. That's great service. I am very impressed.

Finally ordered snow tires for Amanda's Nitro. Well, I ordered them last week but then they told me our first choice wheel was out of stock until March (a lot of good that does). We went with these instead...

Not sure how it will look, but for $109/wheel I say whatever, she's got the big 20"s for the summer anyway.

Tony, new job sounds awesome.

Chris, nice set-up you got for Amanda. Here's the newest pic of Tamz MPV with her new winter set-up. She's happy and actually looking forward to this weekend's snowfall. lol
