My project for the day was a set of desktop speakers. The drivers are 3" Fostex FF85K (~$35/ea). They are pretty much the beefiest 3" driver I've ever seen. The magnet is as big as the mounting cut out. They aren't going to blow your head off with bass but will play down to 100-120Hz. I'll probably build a small subwoofer to go with them later but for now they sound great with acoustic music.

if me, holden.......did not get out for a ride this am! was out doing yard/house work since 9AM. just took a quick shower and am relaxing now.
maybe i will get out for a ride this afternoon? gavin is taking a nap and melissa is off to a baby shower in a bit......
ohhh you're way out there...
So I just got back from another ride, only did 5.4 miles but is the first time in months I went for a ride two days in a row. Must...get up...mileage. I want to start cyclotouring (camping + cycling) so I need to be able to do the mileage several days in a row. Plus it helps to loosen everything up...woke up with what felt like a ball on the top of my shoulder...giant knot! Was able to get rid of it though haha.
My shoulders are sore from taking 400+ pics at the dragway last night...I'll post those when I get a chance.
Anyway, basically just rode to my fav coffeeshop and back...took a couple pics of things driving by:
