NEMOC Random BS Thread

I almost hit a family of turkeys on my way home yesterday. They darted out in the middle of the road. The score would have been forester 8, turkeys 0.

Off to Mt Washington today with Mia and the GF. My daughter is supposed to be coming but we will see if she shows.

just got home from my ride...first ride with the club in awhile...

36.19 mi in 02:26:42 hours at 14.80 mi/h

Not bad for not riding seriously in a couple of weeks, and for not really eating right.

saw this at Liberty Mazda today...

I hiked up Mt. Washigton once and have been meaning to do it again. That's such a pretty area! I bet you had a lot of fun driving around there!!

supposed to play a round of golf this morning, but the weather looks awful.

It sure is. I loved hiking when I lived in the Berkshires. Went at least 3 times a month to different places. So many trails.

Yea, this weeks weather does not look good at all. Bummer!

Had a great time. Was fun watching clouds drift in and out. 1st you could see for miles, then only 100 ft. Drive up was very cool. Was interesting to smell all the burning brakes on vehicles coming down. Lots of places to pull off and let the brakes cool down if you need.

The Miata was great, could leave it in 1st gear and almost never touch the brakes. Would be a cool ride if there were no cars but you. I highly recommend it. They also have a sunset run once or twice a month if you want to watch the sun come up. You get close to the edge a few times but there is room for 2 cars to pass each other. Saw it much worse on the North side of Maui.

I hiked up Washington about 6 years ago, in Sept, not a cloud in the sky, 42 degrees at the top. The next day it snowed...

It sounds like the drive across H3 on the main island. That is a FUNNNNN drive!

So did you get woken up by the storm that rolled through around 5-530am? I could have sworn my apartment was going to cave in on me.. The rain that came down in the short time was nuts.
