NEMOC Random BS Thread

Wife came home and told me that she now has Neal McDonough's two little kids as students. Kind of cool. Come to find out he grew up here and graduated from our High School.

Mark and Bruce, remember talking about Band of Brothers? He's 1st Lt. Lynn 'Buck' Compton in that movie.

Man I live right near there! I have been itching to get people out there to hike with me because my wife doesnt like to hike... Let me know if you go out again or maybe NEPOC hike meet?!
Definitely dude, I will ping you if I am going hiking again.

Someone mentioned the Presidential Range the other day, he did three peaks in 5 hours or so (day trip). That sounds like fun.

Hiked Mount Monadnock yesterday. As we got to the summit, we were greeted with a nice view of the oncoming thunderstorm. 5 minutes later, a ranger is yelling "the summit is closed!", and we are running and sliding down wet rock faces. Choice quotes from the ranger: "People get struck by lightning here all the time" and "Someone slipped and died here 5 years ago."

whoops, yeah i woulda killed myself on wet rocks, knees are crap.

I was just flying on the A330 by Air France/KLM. This is almost unthinkable a modern plane just go missing like this. Say you're prayers.

glad to see you're back, and scary to think it was the same kinda plane.

Lee... I took your suggestion went to a drive in popped the hatch and put the seats down was good except wicked uncomfortable will need pillows and stuff.

I love the drive in, my car is decent to go with but only for two people haha. the pleasant valley drive in in ct is 5 min from my parents.

That's him. He was at the school today taking photos. Just happens Mary was in the big bouncy with his kids as he was taking photos of them. Look out, she's going to be famous! J/K. Funny how all the female teachers drool when he comes over. Maybe I'll stop by and meet him.

I'm for a NEPOC hike meet! That would be a good day.

+1! When I lived in The Berkshires that's all I ever did was hike the mountains. Well...that and drive them in my Jeep.

On the way up Monument Mountain

we're up for a NEPOC hike...once Amanda's ankle is a little stronger.

And speaking of Amanda's Jeep....radiator sprung a leak. The top seal is gonzo. Opened the hood over the weekend and notice the top was wet even though it hadn't rained. Gonna cost $500 for the radiator and another $120 for a new thermostat.

Whew.... Just got back from running 3 miles.. I'm down to 23 mins. Wooo!

I still have a slight bruise on my calf and it hurts, but no where near as bad as it used to.

Nice! that's fast! I just did 3.34mi today in 30:34, which is my personal best, but I still have a long way to go.

yeah if i'm ever in ct when i'm not running around. he's too damn lazy to bring it anywhere to do a shoot either.

Did 18 mins for 3.5 miles, of course that was on a bike!!

Ran over a chipmonk on the way home today. He bounced off the ground onto my thigh then fell off. Scared the crap out of me. Looked back but did not see it on the road. Hopefully it's ok.

I'd love to met him.(attn)
