NEMOC Random BS Thread

Went for a walk up Prospect Hill at lunch time. It is beautiful out. Didn't take a photo but here's one I found online of the view...

Took the day off myself to get stuff done including the first grass mow of the season. Ahhh....so nice to be outside in the warmth again.

spent the day getting ready for tomorrow, dropped the car off at the body shop...won't get it back till 11ish...(notcool)..oh well...cleaned out the garage, put away all the winter stuff and did a major clean job! got the hoses and buckets out.

hey chris, i didn't know you worked in waltham? or maybe i forgot...we should hook up for lunch someday!

I worked from home today. Fixed the mailbox, washed both cars, went to the library, Lowes and was on a concall for 5 hours.

What a great day.

Had a great ride up to Waterloo On. Left at 6am and got here at 345pm yesterday. Helped my daughter packup her room and load up the car.

Went to a pub restaurant and ate on the deck, beautiful day. We caught the Soloist move, very good. Getting ready to head back to Nashua this morning.

Went and watched the sweep last night! Seats were okay... not the best. Got home a little past 1, so I am still tired and my voice is almost gone haha.

so here's some random BS for ya.....

Last week on like Wed or Thu I bought a new TV on amazon

It shipped on friday.

On Sunday I tried to use my CC on the playstation network store...it got declined so I log into the website and when I go to my account there is a ton of red type saying how due to detected fraud my card has been deactivated and a new one has been issued. It gives me a 1-800 number to call about paying the balance and stuff but mentions nothing about approving the questioned transaction or verifying the fraudulent charge or anything.

So anyway I go look at my account and the TV hasnt shown up yet as having been charged to it.

I am thinking the chances are very slim that this happens but it seems plausible to me that for whatever reason the credit card flagged that purchase as being the fraud....stopped it from being applied to my account (even though the transaction was approved) and then deactivated my card and issued a new one. Which would mean the CC company writes off my transaction as a loss, but since it has already shipped - and since the transaction went through for amazon - i still get the stuff....

The real odd part to me is that they would not like temporarily disable the account so i could re-enable it, and they didnt call me about the transactions, or anything like that....they just flat out definitively determined it was bogus, cut up my card and issued a new one without asking me for approval or verification at any step.

In using this CC in the past for large transactions in europe and in other parts of the US I have had to call the 1-800 number to get the card reinstated or been called to approve a transaction but this is a first...

Jacobe's steal of home was AMAZING! Even ESPN didn't see it coming. They just barely got the shot. I was like HOLY SH!T WHERE DID HE COME FROM!

Yeah the place went nuts for like a good 5 or so minutes afterwards, like constant noise, it was amazing.

I thought he was going to get hit by that pitch, it nearly hit the plate as he was sliding in!

What kind of card was it Chris? Amex did something similar to me.

(I didn't mind, it shows that they are paying attention to my card.. I <3 amex.)

My CC was compromised as well months ago. All of a sudden I started receiving random products in the mail, books, dvds, etc. After the first item I immediately called my CC and disputed. After it was all said and done, I did not need to pay for anything and I ended up keeping all the stuff.
