NEMOC Random BS Thread

Well, the movers came and picked up my stuff today... My apartment looks soooooo bare. All I have are my PC, inflatable bed, and a couple of bags of clothes left.

I bumped my leaving day to late Wednesday morning to time the traffic right through NYC.

y'all need to quit whining, I went on a bike ride today.

Yeah...yeah...yeah....what Mahk said. :P

Have a Safe Trip Chris in case I miss ya before you head out on the road!!!

What's happening folks?

It's kinda chilly in Beijing most of the time. Usually between 6 and 12 deg. Still golfing in it tho!

Bad News: Threw out my back playing hockey tonight. OMG the paaaaaaaaaain.

Good News: Found out tonight that my 3rd shift job will be finally ending at the end of this week. Can't wait to get back to a normal schedule/routine. What was supposed to be a 3-5 week job turned into a 9-month marathon.

So... the president of the company asked me at lunch today how much longer I'll be here. Helluva good question if you ask me. I'm going to have to put together the rest of my training materials in a hurry I guess.

Wish I could have said goodbye Chris. You have been a great friend and I'll miss you for sure. Maybe we'll meet up again at LRP next year.

New Mazda 5 photos coming soon. Liquid Silver Metallic. I'll have my own little Zoom-Zoom club here.

56 and Sunny for this Saturday!!! Time for a clean meet of my own. Haha.

Do you work with EWB by any chance ? They're usually all over the world.

BTW if he ask's if you know of anyone who wants to join the "company" in Beijing LMK & I'll be there asap lol

Haha, no I don't. I'm not sure what they plan to do about us foreigners helping out over here. I know they couldn't afford me if they were paying my US salary in China. My home company is still paying my salary. I make about 3.5x what an equivilent Chinese engineer would make (and my salary isn't even that great).

CEL came on Sunday night after a spirited drive home...wondering if the car wasnt completely warmed up. The CEL turned off this morning, otherwise i was going to get it read at autozone. Thoughts on what it might have been? I havent done the plugs yet so that could be it. 65k on the ticker.

it could be anything....car drives the same? best to get the code then we'll know for sure

Some ECU's store the code. I'm not sure on the MS6's. I don't think you can read stored codes from a hand-held reader. You may need the stealership's diagnostic machine.

I can't remember which car we had to do that with. It may have been my Civic. Either that or my Mom's C230. Hell... let's just chalk this up for a pointless post.

I've had a CEL in A4 like that back when I had it and after a while it came out as second O2 was out of range, i believe the heater of O2 failed and thats what caused CEL . It was around winter time as well and that time i didn't let it worm up either.

Phen , enjoy while you can man :)

Yeah, i figured. will the code still be available if the light isn't on?

The code will be stored in "history" until it is cleared... youll need an OBD scanner capable of reading history codes... not just a dealer has those.. i know most shops have them and dont charge for a 'scan, document, clear' (at least we dont)
