NEMOC Random BS Thread

anyone know anything about the intel su2700?

It's the new Pentium they have out. It's an ultra low voltage single core processor based on the dual core architecture.

Comparison is the new SU2700 runs at ~10 Watts compared to a similar Dual Core at 25-35 Watts.

My guess is will be the new things to power netbooks.

Yes... I am a nerd.

Howdy folks. It's another wonderful hot and humid day outside. I'm going back to Colorado, this humidity is insane.

Just ordered a notebook for traveling that has one of these. I wasnt sure if it would be enough power for me but after some research I came to the conclusion that it should be sufficient.....hopefully. It shipped yesterday so i guess i will know soon enough.

Is the forum time messed up or are you all really really early risers?

-Forum time. Unless my settings got screwed into being 5 hours behind.

I wake up each and every night between 230 and 330. Sometimes if I don't return to sleep easily I'll hop on here for some random night posts. When I first saw the time, I was thinking "Did I really do that again last night?"

It should work. It sounds like the processor is a low power consumer, but still yields enough power to do the things you'll probably need it for. Let me know how it works out.

Also, that processor will run a lot cooler than a normal one so you shouldn't get that burning sensation in your lap. ;)

Yea i checked some laptops out at bestbuy the other day. The Acer was cool as a cucumber while some of the others were super warm (I know my HP from work gets wicked hot).

It should arrive tomorrow and i plan on throwing windows 7 on it right away....will keep you posted.

Hope your leg is OK, O-LEG.

Just got on the comp for the first time in two days. Car is presently at the shop getting all new timing parts, tensioners, water pump and hopefully the cam gear that makes it sound like a diesal.

Gonna be one expensive bill but I can't be without a car. Mechanic took a look at it and said the belt was loose, and the front cam was off by 4 teeth. Musta been a recent thing cuz it ran great on the rally.

Is your car being fixed in Torrington? I was driving down Thomaston Road today and I drove by some auto repair place and I could have sworn I saw your car Ashley! It's parked behind a fence with some others.

If it is your car, how has your experience been with that particular shop? It's always looked kinda shady in my opinion but looks can be deceiving.
