Need your opinion

I would keep it. Because to be honest with you, cars are HORRIBLE investment. Yeah you can sell it and use the money to buy a new car, but whatever you buy (new at least), it'll cost you something extra.

Also, not to rain on you or anything, but $18,500 on a 41,000miles MS3 is a little too much, modded or not.

But I will really keep it. It's stupid fast, looks good, durable (say what you want about people blowing motors, these little 4 bangers are built like tanks), and PRACTICAL! I can't tell you how many times my friend with his EVO complain to me about how he can't fold the seats down.

Well then in your case id say you're a good candidate to get a new focus, in hatch form

Don't get a mazda2 for mileage. If I were to get either the mazda2 or fiesta id go with the fiesta, it got much better reviews

But a focus would suit you just as well as the ms3, just minus the power. And if you get the ultra gas saver feature, your highway mileage goes from 38 to 40

Not to mention, if you do any work to your own car, if you pop the hood on a focus its litterally an ms3 bay without turbo stuff. everything in the mazda is fomoco anyway

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I'm going to keep the car for now I can always change up later if the time really called on it.!!

I had the same dilema with my ms3(my wife and I just had our first baby). In the end I've decided to keep the ms3 and buy a $2000.00 civic hatch or something. Ill have my ms3 paid off in a couple months and when I crunched the numbers even getting a great gas mileage in place of the ms3 car didnt make sense financially. We have a cr-v for my wife and my car is the nice one. Ill drive the beater to work, get better gas mileage, save on insurance, and not load the miles on my ms3. I feel its the best option for me, I hope its of use to you in your decision.

I have been looking for a "beater" for the past few weeks and haven't come up with anything yet, but I'm sure eventually I will...thanks for the suggestion.

The 3 hatch makes a great small family car. I wouldn't think of selling unless I suddenly had three kids.

I've been toying with the idea of a Mazdaspeed Miata for a "beater." (shady)

150/ day ?

Dont mean to sound all prius, but a distance like that gives me insight. You should be smart, and try to fit in, make the trip from point xA to point xB cheaper
Indeed you are correct definately not a grandpa!! I'm still debating even tho we do have the forester but sometimes I really would like to have something that's fuel efficent like a Mazda 2/ honda fit etc... cuz I travel about 150+ miles a day for my job and it's just not the most practical fuel choice.

1990 Nissan Sentra. Will get 40 mpg, last forever and fills up with a $20 bill.

I will be in the market for a CWP 08 speed3 gt in about 2 months after graduating and starting the new job. Oh and look at that, you're thinking about selling your 08 speed3 gt. What a coincidence.... :D
