need some help

So my mechanic said i need a barometic pressure sensor for my intake to clear my check engine light and that my car is running rich. They also dont know how to install it on my fujita f5 intake, so i am surpose to email them and ask them. Anyone know anything about this?

take the intake off problem fixed....i'm sure it doesn't do anything for performance anyway, your just hurting your MPG in the long run.

Well first I don't have to stock one, second wouldn't it be more rich with the stock intake?

no...the car is designed to run with stock intake it knows how much air its suppose to be getting. You are giving too much air and it doesn't know what to do that's why its dumping all the fuel...that's why you have a rich code.

so wouldn't i need a MAF sensor instead of a BP sensor?

im sure the baro sensor in the mazda 3 is built into the pcm.
