Need some advice with my msp

Not sure if this belongs here but here we go....I picked up a 03 msp for pretty cheap a week or so ago, it does not get spark. I'm a mechanic so i was hoping the problem would be pretty simple for me to figure out, well I couldn't have been more wrong. It has the 1.8 coil pack conversion, checked the wiring on that, I have pulled the engine harness out, ran wires straight from the pins to the coils, got a new computer, new fuse box, checked sensors, everything I can think of and I can't get more than secondary ignition. I'm on a fairly tight budget and I am running out of cash to get this car up and going. So before I waste the rest of my money I have a few options... 1. put a n/a 2.0 in, along with harness, ecu, and all that. 2. Kl swap it, I know them motors pretty good, I did a ZE swap in my first car and built it pretty decently, parts for kl motors seem to be ALOT easier to find than these 2.0's. or 3. keep killing myself looking this car over and over again for the stupid thing that I am missing and can't figure out. I'm not really sure what to do at this point. If I could find a complete wiring diagram for a kl swap I would possibly go for that a little quicker. I'd really like to get it running with the motor that's in it because of fuel mileage, and how easy four cylinders are to work on and maintain compared to a six. plus the turbo is a nice little bonus for ease of additional power in the future. the 2.0 N/A is absolute last resort. Any opions or suggestions?

I would just try to track down the problem. If you have done all that you have to be getting close. Ask some other mechanics that you know. Sometimes you get all caught up in the moment and cant see the forest for the trees.....

Have you tried to go back to the stock 2.0 coils? they are like 25 bucks so it might be worth it to try.

Have you looked at the crank and cam sensors? They essentially tell the computer to send spark. I see that you said you checked all the sensors. Did you pull any codes?

I tested the cam sensor with a multimeter it read 1.10 ohms I believe, spec was. 90-1.25. The scanner said that it was receiving signal from them both. I'm hoping to find a valve cover tommorow at the junkyard for the cop setup. If I get lucky maybe I can find a new cam sensor there just to try. The crank sensor is brand new so that should be okay. Ill post tommorow what happens, this is probably gonna be the deciding point of the Kyle swap.

Well made some progress today, not much but some so things are looking a little better for keeping the 2.0 in there! got intermittant spark constantly now, so I may try ordering some brand new coil packs at work tommorow, and swapping to the new computer I got. I would really rather not have to go through all the effort with kl swapping, the 4cyl is so much easier to work on! We'll see what tommorow brings I guess

just get a member that is local to you to drop by. give him some beer and then swap his coils onto your car to see if thats the problem.

you can test the coils for resistance as well... and all suggestions related to the coils are good, it takes literally two minutes to change them.

Hopefully tommorow ill get a chance to get two new coil packs and I'm gonna run another ground on the fuse box, something over there isn't right. With any luck it'll finally fire up
