need really quick advice, fast, could be driving accross country tomorrow

ok there is a small chance i could be driving accross the country tomorrow from ny to las vegas. i dont plan on anything happening, but i was wondering if iw ould need some type of bra or something for my car to protect it from dust and rocks while driving accross the country. if so where can i get on cheap, im REALLY tight on money. or maybe i could borrow one from someone. also, i would have to change my oil when i get there which shouldnt be to hard i have mazda factory filters and i could bring oil.

I wouldn't worry about it.
Just get a bottle of touch up paint when you get back.

Best place to get one fast would be to go to ur Mazda dealer, but theyre probably gonna want a butt load of money n ur first born child for it. I agree with d that if ur worried about the paint chipping just get some touch-up paint. I myself would be more concerned about all the bugs i would be killing with the front of my car between NY n Las Vegas. Suggestion from a person that works at a body shop for a living, spray some WD40 onto a rag and gently apply it to the front bumper n about the first 1/4 of the hood to keep all those lil bugs' heads n guts from stickin to ur car. Latas.

i wouldnt put alot of wax on it cuz it can do some wierd things to the finish. The vasoline thing sounds good though. Wax is good for water cuz it can bead n posibly small rocks, but in the case of bugs u want somethin thast slick so they can be rubbed off easily.

no im not afraid of flying, and i fly often, like a few times a year, i just have never been on a roadtrip and i think it would be a thrill. anyway i find out soon if im going. its about the same price to fly anyway, so i think this would be fun.
