Alright guys, help me out here... Yesterday, while home sick, I dropped my damned old trusty Kodak DC-210 and destroyed it. I need a new digital camera for under say $225 that can make short movies, have fairly cheap upgradeable memory, and be easy to use... Anybody have any suggestions???

R.I.P. little Kodak... :(

I'm not really up on the digital cameras at the moment, I've had mine for a couple years now. Kodak DC-290, I can tell you this though, make sure you stick with Kodak. They give the best color depth, and saturation of ANY camera on the market.

Good luck with getting a new one, wish I could have been of more help. :)

well i have the u camera

you know that sony one. that small cameral where you can fit it inside a cell phone holder. yeah those are cool. the bad thing about it is that they dont have a zoom and batteries last from 1 to 4 hours depending on how much you use it. it cost 269. i dont know about kodak but since you guys seem to have experience with kodak go for it.

anything 3mpixels and higher...u have to decide what features you want/need to choose the model. :)

and if there is one in your area, always go to Fry's Electronics. They ALWAYS have the best deals. or go to their website: www.outpost.com
Hope this helps. :)

I work at Dell, if you need any software or accessories (*cough* CAMERAS), PM me and I'll send you my phone #.

Kodak is actually loosing massive ground to competitors like Olypmus and Fuji. I don't recommend Sony because of their proprietary "memory stick" media. I hate that crap... FEH!

I currently have the canon G2 and love it. But it is above your $225 limit.

I would suggest that you research a little bit on http://www.dpreview.com

This is probably one of the best digital camera review sites out there. The guy that runs it does many informative reviews and lists the specs of just about every digital camera out there on the market. Plus it contains reviews by people who bought the various cameras.

If you go there, you should find everything you need to make your decision.

Good luck.

Hell yeah! I have a Frys about 2 miles from me. I do quite a bit of shopping there. I was accually thinking about the Fuji Finepix. It does 3.2 Megapixels, but can extrapolate to 6 Megapixels.
