Need Help With My Air Intake!!

I installed my air intake for my new Protege5 and have a question about the Mass Air Flow Sensor!

There is an Arrow on it (MAF)...Which way is it supposed to go...I mounted it so the Arrow Faces Towards the Engine...

Is This Correct??

Or was i supposed to mount it so that the arrow faces the cone (air filter)??

Or Does It Even Matter??

Please Help!!

I can't help you with your question, but I'd love to see your mud flaps, and where you got them.

I went out and looked at mine closely...and didn't see an arrow on it anywhere....however...there is a big triangle on top with an '!" in it....and the POINT of the triangle points toward the filter....BUT...something else that is somewhat determinate of how mine would fit is where the plug is...its on the BACK side or on the same side as the battery.....see the pic below.

another tip for the future...ANYTIME you take anything apart and will have to put it back together....match mark the parts so you know how to align them back up when installing them...or take pictures or drawings or at least NOTES....k? it will really help.

The Arrow is located on the opposite side of the plug on the maf!!

I have the AEM and mine is aligned in the same direction as Sir Nuke's.

Yep...it damn sure is! due to your post above I went and got a flashlight....and wow...there is was...that arrow is sorta small and doesn't stand out very well....so I didn't see it the first time...

ANYWAY....to answer BOTH of your questions completely this time...YES IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE which way it goes it....and the arrow points TOWARDS THE MOTOR....not the filter.

Thanks For the Help...I ordered It off Ebay and it Came W/ No instructions....I think i did a damn good Job!

Ohh Yeah...aren't You Guys worried about installing those Exhaust systems and voiding the Warranty?

That's the only reason why i am holding back from it and other major upgrades...

P.S. I got my Custom Mudflaps from Ebay...I guess the Guy made them Himself...b/c i haven't seen any others like it..I will have my digital camer setup by monday to post some pictures..
