Need help with electrical issue

(bang) So go to the chevron...get back into the car and boom doesn't start okay...hmm started before I got here. So immediately I presume hmm must be the battery...right? Wrong....car locks me in and will not start fire or nothing not even the courtesy of dash lights. Okay so I wait around call some people that don't answer and during my calls BLEEP BLEEP HONK HONK effin alarm is going off. I'm like wtf man....what are you doing so I unlock it from the inside and....dun dun dun....

I get dash lights and the car starts up and I drive home...

Need help what the hell is going on? I just experienced a total Stephen king Christine moment or did I experience a short. I'll get my battery tested tomorrow.

sounds like security system issues. i know that sometimes if i ever disconnect the battery and reset the computer sometimes it will do kind of what you stated. but if it just randomly happend to you then i dont really now what would cause that.

happens to almost everyone, lol. that's why I always lock it when I leave the car that way it won't try to arm itself. If you do however end up having the alarm armed just unlock it inside with the key out pressing the unlock on the fob, worked for me.

I took my horns off because my car does this randomly (alarm going off) I lock and unlock the door from the outside and everything is ok for several months....I'm not sure what causes it yet, I just haven't had the time or motivation to go through the wiring schamatic to trace down the cause....I have never had it not start for me, but I also have never tried with the alarm going off

I was swaping the battery and when i put my new battery in my alarm goes the second i put the - terminal on i drove it horn when off random for about 20 min but never had a start issue similar to your problem
