Need help to Lower my P5

I want to lower my P5 enough to take out the excess space in the wheel wells. I don't want my wheels tucked though.
How much should I lower my car and what all is involved?
Can I buy just one kit with everything or do I have to buy several different parts like new struts, springs, etc?
What is it going to cost me for the whole job?
Can I do it myself with a minimum amount of tools or should I take it in to the dealer or other mechanic?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

read my other post about my lowered P5, it's an 2" front / 1.5" back drop with TEIN S-TECH springs with 3.0mm/kg front and 2.6mm/kg spring rate.

I didn't switch out the structs because ours are sporty enough and able to take the drop without comprising much comfort. I've also attached pictures on my other thread, take a look.

My shop charged me 3.5 labor hour and extra for alignment, the part costed me $210 and with everything it topped $600.

if you can do it yourself you will save 3.5 labor hour or whatever they charge, but you should at least have a shop to re-align your wheels for you since they have computerized equipment to do it right, and yes you should re-align your wheels or you'll risk wearing your tires enevenly and prematurely.

also i can help you each step of the way since i lower cars allt he time and i am in the process of doing another eclipse and also mine ..so i will be more then happy to help you out .. ..now i willsay it will not only require a good set of sockets and ratchets but it will require more elbow greese (muscle ) then anything .. of course a jcak and two jackstands will do ... but I do this all the time and it is really a fun job .. also if you have any autopart place like an autozone or pep boys near you you can fork out like $40-60 bucks and rent the spring compressers for a day and when you bring them back in 24 hours you get all of your money back .. but honestly there is really nothing dificult about the whole process and i would love to give you a helping hand on it so hollar at me when you get your springs 865-556-9269

You'll need a 4 jacks, jack, 14mm socket (has to be at least mid-depth, if not deep), a 17mm socket/wrench, and a breaker bar.

If you're going with springs only, you may need a spring compressor. Places like autozone rent them.

I work for the corporate office of US Cellular so i can do anything with my # or change it as many times as i need also i have unlimited mins for free and nation wide long distance so i can call you guys it aint no thing for me

also no need for 4 jacks .. one would do fine to lift the rear and you can only work on one at a time so whats the sence .. so one jack and two jack STANDS would do it since he said he has minimal tools .. also i already mentioned the autozone thingy lol .. and a breaker bar???????? what on earth for .. if you can break them yourslef then what is the point .. if you cant break them then how can you get them tight enough ....now a torque wrench would be a great help but if he dont have one then a 1/2 inch drive craftsman wrench does just fine ...

i did mine myself. didnt even need the compressors. just hit it with an impact. worked just dandy. saves you the $5 or whatever you end up payin.

see that is the perfect way to give someone not only wrong ways to go about doing something safely but that is just stupid to do that .. those front coils are compressed soooo damn much if it broke loose it would easily go through you and the wall nezt to you ... i have seen a hood spring release and end up 1/2 way through a 3foot thick oak tree and you want him to do it with a coiled suspension spring ?? i am glad that it worked for you but that is like telling someone to just use 4 scissor jacks .. and lay underneath it while breaking bolts loose ...
