Need help to determine what year my mazda is =)

although it looks like the 1979 Mazda hatchback im sure its not a 1979 model itself if anyone can help me narrow it down and maybe tell me exactly what it is, its value restored/now and spruced up , here is a little pre-thank's to all who post and give me any info they got =D much <3 p.s. it dose not have back seats only the 2 front ones (despite the pic they are ford backseats =p)

+1 on the vin, i think if u call mazda and reference the vin they should be able to tell u

im not much of a car nut what exactally am i looking for in regards to the Vin# and can you also give me the number to mazda. yea i got the car from a family friend so i didnt get any books with it, also is there anyone i could speak to in regards to getting it valued im thinking of selling it but dont want to get gibbed on the price.
