Need Help: Satallite Radio Receiver Scratched Trunklid

I just picked up a 2006 MS6 over the weekend. I noticed that there was one of those small, magnetic satallite radio receivers on the trunklid. When I removed it there were scratches and some light rust/oxidation from the magnet/receiver underside.

Any recommended product to take care of it? I can take pictures if need be....Thanks in advance!!

Some pics would help. First thing to do, see if your finger nail can catch in the scratch. If so you will need some paint. If not you can get it out with polish. There isn't much over the counter that will help you. Machine polishing (and I don't mean a wal-mart buffer) will probably be needed. But you might have some luck with a lot of elbow grease. Try out Meguiar's scratchX 2.0. May not be 100% but you should be able to minimize the appearance of the scratches and swirls. Another choice is 3M Perfect-It Rubbing Compound.

Lets see a pic and test it with your finger nail and we'll take it from there.
