2nd...You have an MP3...And there is lots of problems with turboing the MP3..Since the timing is advance..it will cause detonation..at low boost levels..

It depends on octane level of the gas you run. It might cause knock.
If you have 93 octane available and run 5-6 psi, you should be just fine. However, with 91 octane it is hit or miss. I know, I have run both.
I just recently found a place here near my house that has 93.5 octane for $1.59 a gallon. Most big chains are charging over a $1.64 for 91. I filled up on the first tank yesterday and my car is so happy.
Sidenote: 91 octane is the highest you can find in Colorado, with the exception of the "race gas" stores. So, finding 93.5 for cheaper than the big chains sell 91 is a great!
I never figured a change from 91 to 93.5 would make such a huge difference, but there was dramatic change in how my car is running.
I also did a couple of on-boost WOT runs over 5000 RPM (where I usually heard knock start) and the car felt fine and I did not hear the noticeable metal pop-corn sound at all.
It might be a combination of the cooler temps around here along with the gas, but it ran fine. There might have still been some pinging, but I couldn't hear it.
With my MP3, it was ver noticeable at 5000 rpm, that is where the advanced ignition timing kicked in.
