Need Help On A CEL Code

correct.
all O2 sensors perform the same job
and all of then operate at 5 volts

some are heated, some aren't
the heated O2 sensors allow the sensor to become functional quickly during cold starts and allows the ECU to go to "closed loop" in the process

Razor: Did you find the o2 sensor box yet? Which part number is it and how much did it cost? I have the Racingmazda header coming as well, and want to install the fix at the same time.

I believe these are the sensors (the techedge one) that LinuxRacr pointed out a year or so ago. They should do the trick Razor. They are much smarter than a simple resistor as TheMAN pointed out. Good luck, let us know if you notice a difference in how your car runs!

hey help me out with a link would ya doomer, the damn LS1 board are a bunch of shitheads and wont even answer me. i got one answer and he said a protege is a ford fuckus in disguise :(

Razor,
I can't find the link in my search (might have been deleted from being old) but I believe it was the first one kopp listed up above.

Chris

The ones I linked out to have the plug inset for the sensor and the circut board TheMan was talking about.

ok im gonna buy the first CEL fix...any suggestions or anyone that knows exactly how this installs? looks pretty simple to me.

I beleive you inplug the O2 sensor from the wires and plug the fix it it's place. Look at your O2 sensors and see if they unplug from the wire.

that one you suggested was the biggest waste of money this planet possibly has to offer....fortunately theyre taking it back and giving me my money back. its for a grand prix and does not come close to fitting our harness or whatever you call it.

bad day, that came off kind of asshole like. it simply does not work, the plugs are different. i dont think its anything different inside there than a resistor, but because it comes in a harness style, they expect you to pay more...judging by the looks of the product when i recieved it, thats my best guess.

Sorryabout that, I'm just trying to help find products that will work. It's hard to tell if something will work when it's only online. Let us know what you decided to try next and if it works. I think there's some guy in AZ who sells something that'll work, check the header gb III thread, or the ones previous to that.
