Need Help... CEL with ru 3580 filter

Ok... I just installed my K&N filter. I noticed that there was a harness attached to the stock air box.....

After I removed the box and installed my new filter the CEL light is on.

What is this sensor for and how do you turn it off? I know some of you guys have done this and I was wondering if you can give me a hand.

just disconnect your neg. batt cable for about 2-3 minutes. Then put it back and start it up. All will be well.

And but the sensor back on. It's the IAT sensor and it's there for a reason...

I disconnected the battery cable and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Problem is gone and filter makes my engine sound great
