Need help badly! LSD speedo gear

I need help with trying to find a the part number for the speedometer gear that goes on the Mazdaspeed Protege LSD. My dealership here can not find the part number (go figure) and I need it so that I can give it to them to order it. So if anyone has it, or can get it, I would really appreciate it if you can hook me up with those digits!!! Thanks!

Does this mean you're getting the Mazdaspeed LSD installed.

I'm very tempted to do this, but was thinking I might as well go with the Quaife. Not to threadjack, but which one do "the people" recommend?

Yeah, I'm installing it myself (like everything else on my car!). Considering my next phase of mods I will be needing it. I was also looking at the Quaife but due to the cost and all the work needed to put it in (I think I heard from someone that you have to take off the rivits from the stock diff and bolt it up to the Quaife) which means you have to reshim also. It was too much money and too much work to put it in. I will see how the Mazdaspeed LSD holds up!

yes, lets have the info on this dyi install of the msp lsd.

if it isn't too difficult it might be a fall project for myself.

also, what's the difference between the quaife and mazdaspeed lsds? appart from a lot of money???

i found my paper work, nowhere does it say speedo gear, but there are a few gears listed.

1 G5577-17-400 gear
set, driven

if this isnt it i will give you the rest
