Need Advice On HID Kit!!

Hey guys,

I am new here, but have been lurking around the site for about a month. Thought I would finally join. I have an Mazda 3 that I have owned for 8 months. I love the car, but it is 100% stock right now. So I am looking at modding it. I want to do the exterior first, then interior, then performance. So I want to order a HID Kit for it.

A friend of mine that lives in another state ordered a HID Kit from www.65DollarHIDKits.com and loves it. He has bought like 3 kits from them already for his two cars and his moms. Another friend of ours that he talked to about the kit has bought one for his Integra and also loves. I checked it and it looks great and is super bright. So I called them and talked to them and seems like a pretty solid deal. I just wanted to know if anyone else on here has bought any kits from them for their 3? Any feedback will help. Thanks

I dont know about that site...but I did get my 5000k 35w kit from DDMtuning.com. And i bought the TRS clear lenses. My headlights are working awesome and looking great too.

Do you have an updated pic w/ HID? I'm looking into doing something similar and am curious how it would turn out. Thanks.

I picked up quite a few sets of HIDs from Xtreme HIDs on Ebay, Give em a buzz, or buy online.

I purchased over the phone, Talk to Jerry Montgomery hes a great guy and ive done alot of business with him. 2 year warranty, no questions asked as long as you send in your defective item with the reciept. Always recieved items in 2 days.

Heres a link showing his colors/temps

I suggest you go with ddm tuning, they have every color you can imagine and in any size bulb you may need. They're kits also come with a lifetime warranty! I just bought two 55 watt kits for my high and low beam.

stupid question

would installing these void the warranty on the MS3? Also, what are the specifics needed, i keep reading that people get stuck with their lights being permanently on their highbeams, others use projectors?

can anyone list specifics and shed some light.. as well as maybe showing what exactly is needed from lets say DDMTuning.com? in say 6000k?

Thanks a bunch.

Whatever you do, dont get those purple ones on that Scion above. Rice is burning.

ahah never, just some 6000k ones MAYBE 8000k if they aren't TOO blue..

i went to the mazda dealership today, and they said they don't have any factory ones, NOR do they want to install them, NOR did the three dudes i talk to have any suggestions where to place the ballast... dealership fail?

anyways, thinking about taking it to these guys called the specialists in my city, but still i need a the right HID kit and there are SO many out there...

and still no clue where to put the ballast..

ANNNNNNNNND whether or not i'd be stuck in permanent high beam mode

I would never go 8000k. Get some 5000k H7s with the clear lenses and be done with it. You'll get great performance and great looks.

Installtion is really easy, you can do it yourself.

And why would you be put in permanent high beam mode? Highs and lows are seperate. And they are easy to aim.

If anything your regular will be brighter then your highs.. I once had Hids that worked for hi and low. Depends.. That was on a civic tho. Some hid kits are for reg lights and you end up deleting your highs.. But they'll never run them off your highs. If they do then they are set up totally wrong.
