NBA Playoffs!

GO SPURS!

If the Spurs win tonight, I'll be leaving the sports bar a happy and drunk MP3 owner. If they lose, hell, I'll still end up drunk and happy until the next day. :D

On the east side of town:

GO Philly!

Always was an Iverson fan. Hard working fellow there. Too bad, I won't get drunk because of this game. :D

:( Phily Lost...s*** there goes my team..:(
 They lost by 30+ points:eek: :(

Sorry for your loss (I live in Boston) ;)

Fortunately I just managed to get $10 tickets to games 3 & 4 of the Boston/Detroit series.

Go Celts :)

Well, Iverson doesn't have any help on his team. They need to get rid of Eric Snow. I've always thought he was a little overrated. Once in a blue moon he'll perform OKAY, but most of the time he doesn't show much on the court when it counts. Six points, two assists, zero steals, zero blocks and just 5 rebounds total in the fifth game of the series... that is just sad. He still think he's playing in the regular season?

When Iverson was down and out with his injury, Snow did okay. Snow is a hard worker, but he just doesn't impact the team very well. Maybe Philly is not suited for him, but Larry Brown needs to give up on Eric Snow and get a REAL point guard to compliment Allen Iverson. Someone who can pass well, at least, even if they can't shoot all that well.

As far as losing by 30 points, Paul Pierce was just unbelievable last night. Nothing you can do to stop that kind of performance. You should get that kind of performance in the playoffs from your stars. Iverson has done just as much to astound the world with his amazing leaping and shooting abilities. Now, if Pierce can repeat last nights performance in a few MORE games, then that will be very impressive. He's very good, indeed.

San Antonio Spurs

Good grief... the Spurs can't even buy a basket. If the NBA only had 3 quarters to play instead of 4, Spurs would have swept the Lakers by now. :(

That really stinks, especially, Steve Smith and Terry Porter. Both of them need to be traded or rid of. Useless to have them on the team. Not consistent on offense and pooooor defense.

Yeah! I agree with ya. I thought they had the game in the bag..
Until the last fu&#n quarter where they just broke apart...

Boston is Kicking major ass though...

I predict LA against Dallas and Boston against Nets for the Semis...:D

Ya know, I wanna say "I can't believe they blew it" or "Man, we had it in the bag"....but I CAN believe the ******* Spurs blew it!! They do it all the damn time!! They're like a Civic owner who sees a Supra and blows they're ******' load all over themselves!! How do you go from being 10 up, to 2 down?!? What kind of s*** is that!?!? They NEVER had it in the bag. I was just waiting for them to start screwing up like they always do, and watch the Lakers capitalize. I was really hoping for some OT, but oh well.

Win 3 in a row, never.

Boston & Lakers Advance

Boston Advances!

Lakers once again

Dallas and Spurs are out, so I'm out of teams to root for. I would root for Sac Kings, but I'll have to watch the first game before making a decision. Right now, I hold firm to the idea that the Kings really do not have what it takes to finish the Lakers. Same as last year, except that this year the Kings have a WAAAY better point guard and sixth man.

Spurs... OMG... they need people who have confidence in shooting. Trade off Ferry, Smith and Porter. All three of them have a few things in common. They are very good 3pt shooters, except when the game is tight and when they really need the 3pts. When the game is tight, they get all scared and stick their heads in the sand to hide. Defense dissappears from them as well. None of them can really drive and shoot well either. They are stationary 3 pt shooters. Any movement while they launch the ball will deviate from their target badly.....

Tough to decide between Boston and NJ. Sounds like it will be or should be a good series. :)

How can you say the Spurs are out? They're up 3-2 and have home court advantage. I know they are notorious for giving up their lead in the last quarter, but I don't think they'll do it in game 7, if it's necesary. I had thought game 7 was a definate, but I dunno..I'm thinking the Spurs may ctually be able to pull it off tonight.

The one thing I'm concerned about it foul trouble in LA. Everytime people play the playoffs in LA, Shaq draws 90 fouls by lowering his shoulder and going in at people. FFUFUFUCKFUCK it's soo frustrating. The refs in LA are so effing biased, but eh..gotta play with it and the Spurs know that. We'll see what happens tonight :) I know I'll be watching.

well for what it's worth, i'm rooting for the spurs tonight

always like to watch the champ dethroned!!!

Hey, It's okay that the Lakers are out...At least they got a 3-peat...Hey, Kings fan's where you at???

Spurs all the way... Parker frustrates me. One day he's totally awesome, next day I'm rooting for Kidd to take over his job. When Parker screws up, he doesn't mess around.... but when he's pretty good, I tend to think he's young and will improve as he ages.....

Dallas is my second choice ... of course, because they are from Texas... but, I really REALLY prefer Spurs to win it all. I'm going to buy Robinson's jersey to keep as a souvenir.... the good man needs a championship ring before he retires. Damn Jordan overshadowing Robinson.... let's see who gets the last laugh now....

OK guys I'm bumping this thread. lol, this started as a thread for last year's playoffs, whatever. On with the '03 playoffs!

Now that I've finished cheering for them Devils, now on to the Nets!

What ugly basketball the Series is turning out to be, but whatever. Whoever wins now gets it all!! Go Nets!

Very ugly playoff... if I wasn't a Spurs fan, I probably wouldn't waste my time to catch every game of this series. I don't think these two teams could shoot any worse if they had their eyes blind folded.
