after watching the playoff games this year I must say it's been some bad officiating for the pistons and that Hubie Brown is a ******* idiot.

(bow) mj plz come back, nba needs you again. The finals are boring in my opinion.

the pistons were there by luck... with d-wade and shaq at 50%, youd see them in there and the finals would be MUUUCH more interesting.

watching the pistons play anyone is like watching womens golf for 3 hours...

ok if pistons are there by luck why did they win it last year by beating the lakers who had shaq and kobe?

uhhh, the pistons, although most of the team is the same, overacheived all of last season. The two wallaces were unstoppable... this year, 'sheed's on cruise control, lights up for a game or two, then simmers down. The whole team this year (with exception of billups) has been terribly streaky, while last year they were abnormally consistent.

I mean, Prince has the skill to be the next Iverson, but the guy cannot pull it together for some reason at times... And many wont think so, but i believe this years spurs would have taken last years lakers with little problem.

But, what the hell do i know, I'm a Celitics fan

well i'm a pistons fan! but i find this series odd with 2 top defensive teams and there has only been one close game

i honestly think its because there is only one offensive "superstar" in the series with Duncan. I know i know, he's sucking it up right now, but theres really no single person who can cut a gap or break the game like, say, an iverson or James or shaq can... Even duncan needs support to have a good night... most of his points come from his team feeding him at the right instance. Someone who can do it all is what's missing.

I also think these two teams are too textbook for a normal crowd to enjoy... It's like watching a chess match sometimes, which cool for a true basketball fan, but terrible for a moderate/slight fan.

EDIT: note that the only close game occurred when the pistons were the better team, but Horry played a career game to keep them from running away with it.

yea there is no one big superstar. but i enjoy some good defensive games.

i can't stand hubie brown though he is like the dennis miller of football commentary!

haha... (hand) least there's an nba season next year with the new agreement.. don't like that 19 year old rule though. kinda sucks for some of the people. haven't really read about the other parts of the agreement.

predictions for next year:

- Duane Wade will win MVP, thanks to shaq.
- Gonna be a heat/spurs finals with the heat taking it.
- The knicks will suck
- The Celtics will make the playoffs, get our hopes up, and lose to an aging and bad team
- The pistons will not be as good, because they no longer have brown leading them...
- The Mavs will break down in the second round... AGAIN... as always, followed by my favorite part of basketball: The Mark Cuban "we just lost" face.

Have you guys watched any of the last two games? How can you call them boring? All were decided in the end of the game, and all were played well. Last nights officiating sucked, I will agree. Who cares if there is no "superstar" there. In my mind, the cat that steps up is the "superstar" that day. So go Ginobli, Horry, Billups, Hamilton and Prince. They have all been playing their asses off (both teams). I think it is one of the best series in a while.

And if Detroit doesn't deserve to be there, why are they, let alone forcing a game 7???

Go detroit!!

Hell yeah! All I have to say is the better team wins. Period. That's what makes them the better team. That "Shaq and Wade playing at 50%" is just a lame excuse. If they were only playing at 50%, then they didn't deserve to be in the play-offs anyway.

The Pistons are a "team", which is rare in todays sports. Eveyone wants a Kobe or a Shaq or a Jordan to carry the team because they think it's fun to watch one man do all the work. I love watching the Pistons the Spurs because they are both "teams" that don't need to rely on one person to be there all the time. If one guy gets injured (Prince, Hunter, Ginoboli, Duncan, whoever), there's a bench full of players that totally deserve to be there. When Rip, Prince and Rasheed were on their slow streaks, it was all bench players that stepped up. Even though I'm a huge Pistons fan, I have to say that San Hose is the same way, and that's why these two teams are in the finals and not Miami.

how can anyone say the Pistons don't deserve to be here after last night's game, that was a brilliant performance by the TEAM, just about everyone made significant contributions to a very convincing win.

it's gonna be fun Thursday night, one game for all the marbles, w00t

I am not a Pistons fan, but I agree with you. That is one of the reasons I am rooting for Detroit (that and they beat the Sixers, so I have to root for the team that knocked mine out). They are fun to watch. If you are a recreational player, focus on the Pistons zone D and watch the rotations, etc...you will learn some s***. I think if I was a coach of kids, I would make them watch Pistons tapes. Perfect techniques and fundamentals (mostly).
