Now that is out of the way, I honestly think that this situation could happen given the variables are right. I've lost to slower cars before due to a bad launch, and phucked up engine mounts. Honestly the Porsche....well let's just say you should be shitting from 2 assholes now.

i know it aint all that but it is pretty quick for a $800 car with $350 engine.

i got a 91 mazda 323 with a 94 dohc 1.8 liter engine swap. (125hp) on the motor and i have installed a headers intake wires. my 323 weighs 2,217lbs if im not mistaken.....this car can smoke my p5 about 5 cars away and still pulling it dont matter if its just 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear i still smoke a p5. thats how slow the p5 is. Even a slow Ex civic can beat a p5. stock to stock!
Its weird cuz for some reason the p5 weighs 2,700 lbs and the civic ex weighs close to 2,700 lbs. pro got 130 hp with 135 trq and civic ex got 127 hp with 109 trq. Civic will still be able to spank a p5!

I had the chance ( this is fluke ) to drive a co-workers 97 Boxter 5 spd today, and I bought my P5 two weeks ago. Its my first outing in a Porsche, and I can say with ease that any competant driver will spank the P5 in this car. It is smooth and fast. It is way faster than the P5, expecially after 70 km/h. ( I'm a canuck, eh. ). It has a HEAVY ass clutch, and the pedals and drivers footwell are cramped for 6'4" of me, the shifter is tight and nothcy, but deadly precise.
I would trade the P5 for one of these in a heart beat. I really don't see, even with 0-60 specs, HP, weight, that anyone could beat this car. It has too much low end torque, and the power is too much through the entire band, unlike the 3000+ RPM's where the P5 gets its big ( relatively speaking ) power.
I want a Porsche now dammit!

ok calm down people....i dont even care any more....the only people who dont buy it are the people who havent modded s***...and they talk alot of s***..i am confused. And compared to a civic well i dont think there is any competition..basically i think most of u are just plain assholes...was that your ass they were spanking and what a sausage fests u people party at and u take pictures of this s***...nasty I know who i have owned you dont. The P5 is slow ...why do u think i modded it ..but if u read about any project p5's NA or turbo they arent slow..albeit alot of work. And yeah i said tiptronic...so its not an auto when u shift it dumbasses which the person was doing...so basically u can all go **** yourselves and if i ever see u on the road... i will own u...

There is no way your can can beat a boxter. Boxter weights half as less and even if it had 1.0L engine, it would still spank your ass cause it has less drag. I'm guessing he was just revving his engine so he wouldn't stall.
