^ thats the link. im thinking about ordering that. seems damn impressive to me. im personally not a big fan of those DIY mods so i dont really want to make a H20 sprayer. plus i can get the bottle filled for a few dollars at a paintball shop near by. anybody have a c02 sprayer and wanna share comments/concerns? any help is appreciated, thanks. im calling the place tomorrow and if all goes well ill order one.

seems weird that they recommend co2 for a nitrous bottle, but oh well

if you want a co2 sprayer you can get one for MUCH MUCH cheaper than that

Doesn't CO2 expand in heat, I think it does because I used to play paintball on Co2 and we had to watch our tanks and lines in the sun. If so I wouldn't go CO2.

co2 is ok to use, fmic is better though. spraying any gas on the ic will only be a temporary thing, and it'll add up. like nitrous in general, it's only fun when racing, so most of the time the car is still slow. but it'll work and work well.
ebay has cheaper ones, or you can make your own, they're pretty simple. there are some people on here who have done it, just do some searching you'll find some stuff

im hoping to run it with my hiboost fmic. i ordered it friday and im just waiting now.

EDIT: will that be a problem? dont see why not but maybe it is?

Excatly how safe/dangerous is a kit like this? I know Co2 is cheaper, but is it any safer than nitrous?

i decided im gonna order one of these on friday from injectedperformance.com so far it seems good and i will definitely keep you guys posted on how this goes. from what ive heard from buddies who have something like this, they all like it and are very impressed. we'll see how it goes.

its worth it in my oppinion but it will cause you to hit fuel cut if you are running higher than stock boost. I say just run the nitrous it can be a little expensive if you use it all the time but its alot colder than C02. you should be happy with the it though

i ordered a FCD so fuel cut wont be a problem hopefully. im gonna run 10 psi daily and i most likely wont even be hitting boost unless im racing. ill keep you guys posted.

$420????? Cmon, that is a NOS bottle and some fittings and hoses from home depot and a switch from radio shack. I am a proponent of buying quality stuff but that is crazy.

My brother and I are in the process of figuring out how to rig up a co2 sprayer from his tank off of his paintball tank. all we need is a nitrous selenoid but they cost too much (we're cheap)... or some other type of electric open/close device...
It should cost around $70 when we're done.

co2 an n20 both expand with heat. u heat n20 to reach higher pressure so either would work for cooling. but u are looking at $3 to $4 a pd for n20 and co2 is cheap!

somebody remind me to call a local paintball shop and see how much it is to fill a bottle. ill keep you guys posted. im gonna be installing my hiboost fmic, injen cai, and this all in the same week. ill put pictures before, during, and after the install. hopefully ill be able to put up a dyno too.

Was goign to do it but CO2 + H2O from your intercooler = carbonic acid
H2CO3 use it long enough and it will eat though ur intercooler

Don't expect tooo much out of this...unless you have the ability to compensate for the lower air temps entering the TB. I am half way done on my install....I am waiting for the stupid ring and solenoid, everything else is wired up and ready to go.

I would say it is an OKAY investment and has a lot of BLING to it once installed. at $420 I would recommend you purchase other things first.

After putting some more thought into this I came up with a question. The air intake temperature sensor is located in the intake before the turbo, none the less before the intercooler. How can the ECU determine that the air has been cooled off more? And that it should compensate with more or less fuel?

It'll know that the air is cooler by the fact that the air physically got smaller in the intercooler, allowing more air to go in through the MAF, which it would measure.

It is not a good idea to use paintball tanks, just because paintball shops charge a bunch of money for filling those little tanks. You can get your hands on a 10lb bottle from a welding supply shop and get it filled for a way better value than filling those little 1 lb bottle all the time.
