n/a msp?

Yellow 2003.5 MSP!
What can i do to make my car n/a? Im thinking about purchasing an certified engine from protege garage but Im tired of the unreliability my car has come with over the years.

I don't think you would like the drop in power. Is there something wrong with your current engine?

if you want a more reliable protege with power i would look for a fsze motor, they were in the mazdaspeed familia which was NA, they were rated for 190HP just as a stock MSP. i would believe everything would bolt right up

Im at a piont where im willing to sell my car a buy a stock 1.6 civic that gets 35mpg. In all honesty, that sounds really good right now.

Do you knopw what kind of MPG those motors get? I've never done an engine swap before. Im pretty sure the engine and tranny bolt right up but what about the exhaust mani, intake mani, ecu and wiring harness and all that stuff to get my car running and smoggable.

it would be more work to swap over because you would need to switch to a NA exhaust mani and maybe intake mani also

intake mani is the same, all you would need is a NA motor (so you dont have to swap the windage tray and take all the other stuff off the engine like the oil cooler and coolant elbow and other random s***) and the NA ecu and your set

EDIT: or you could just block off the windage tray oil drain, buy an NA coolant elbow, leave the oil cooler on, take the other coolant feed off, take off the T for the oil feed, then swap the NA exhaust mani in, and i believe thats it
