Hey all
I'm new to this site so.. no expectations right? haha
anyhow, Im install a GReddy Profec B-spec II into my '07 mazdaspeed 3
I have most of down, I just have a couple questions.
~~~first, some instructions I found tell me to - "Locate the factory boost control solenoid that is bolted to the turbo. Disconnect wiring that goes to it. You may choose to remove the factory solenoid or leave it installed. Unplug the vacuum lines that go to it."
There is a hose going from the solenoid to the supposed "high pressure boost source" (is this the wastegate?) which is located behind the solenoid in the engine compartment - there is also a hose going from the solenoid to (what appears to be) an air input... a small input on the side of where all the air converges... from like the air intake and the recirculation from the BOV
am I correct in saying that the "high pressure boost source" should go into the "NO" on the GReddy Boost Control Valve - and the 2nd hose (which went to the air converging thing) should be replaced going to the "COM"
and the "NC" should just be left completely open... with nothing in it?~~~
that was the first part (hahaha)
~~~for seconds, the instructions tell me I need to use the line going to the fuel pressure regulator to go straight to my controller in the cabin... I have looked for how to do this and in process I have found threads saying that this isnt possible on the Mazdaspeed 3 because the system's pressure isnt the same there or something... where do I put in the three way fitting to get the pressure for the controller?~~~
as you can see I actually dont really have ANY of it down pat but I have the general idea... supposedly
so I call to you, my gear-head friends for help! Thanks!
PS ~ I could be totally off on everything... any help of any kind is appreciated!
