My white sGT freshly tinted -- Photosync transition tint

2017 CX-5 GT w/ Premium Pkg.
This is probably going to be my only "mod" to this car. I'm using this transition type window tint that has this solar adaptive coating called photosync by prestiege film. This film reacts to the sun's heat so if the sun is beaming down it'll darken around 10% and bump up the heat rejection. However, I doubt it is 10%, it's more like a 5% which is barely noticeable lol I got the 45% (which darkens to 35%) all around and 75% (darkens to 70%) on the windshield. This tint was quite pricey but well worth it. It's in the mid 80's and on my drive home I barely feel the sun's heat. The darkest tint they carry is 35% but I didn't want to go so dark. I really liked how the car looked without tint.

Thanks, it has a slight blue hue to it but I think it's not too bad on a white car. I would prefer no color or gray hue instead but this is the way this tint comes =/

Oh now THAT is a slick idea, I didn't know they even made transitions-type tint film. I'll have to look into this stuff before this coming summer. I'm in the snowbelt, so for now wheels and tires get first priority. :)

Well they say this tint is suppose to get slightly darker but I don't see it honestly lol I just got it for the high heat rejection for a light tint.

Your tint looks great! Can you post a pic of your rear quarter side windows. I just got mine tinted and there is a 1/4" gap below the rubber seal. They say it's really tight there and don't want to break the seal but I'm not sure if I'm convinced. Thanks in advance!

Yeah same here, they didn't tint all the way in that rear quarter window on the door. I didn't notice it till I was installing the window visors. My tint isn't that dark so I didn't notice it but now I have the oem window visors on so it covers up that area.

Looks good! I'll be getting a 20 or 30% on mine eventually from the rear doors back. Don't think I'll worry about the front doors. Ohio laws have minimal tint allowed for those so its not worth it.

So they didn't tint all the way up the rear windows that roll up and down? Do you have a pic of what it looks like.. just trying to understand what they did as I want to have my window's tinted once I get the car.

Not on the rear window that rolls up/down, but on the tiny window on the door that doesnt move. There's about a 1/4 inch gap where it's covered by molding or something that is not tinted. Sorry I can't really get a picture of it since it's covered up by the window visor. Doesn't bother me now that it's covered up lol
