Welcome tot he forum, some members have gone up to 22". 20" seems to be the largest most people are going due to ride/weight/acceleration quality. Also, imo 22" is pushing it for proportions partly because of the wheel well shape. For future reference there is a sticky (permanent) thread on this sub forum dedicated to wheels. I have not seen anyone with those wheels. It's also worth factoring in the weight of those wheels/tire combo. Stock 19" wheel combo is ~ 60lb. http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123817319-Show-me-your-wheels

No but that packline is suh-weet. Very stealth and about perfect for me (kiteboard and wetsuit)...I think I may get the roof rails now. Can you tell me what the height of your CX5 is from the ground to the top of that packline roof box?

IMHO - The wheels you have now look better.

22" will ride rougher than a 20" for sure (in comparable sizes). Think before going with a 21" size. They are super uncommon, and tires tend to cost more than a 20" or 22".

Hi. About 2m +-. Fits perfect in the garage and public parkinghouses.

Pacline FX-SUV. If you use thule roof rails in stead of mazdas orginal you save some more hight.

In the 1970's tire technology sucked. You could not take a road trip without seeing one or more people installing their spare by the side of the road.

Now it is much more rare to see this but, when you do, it is almost always a young person with ultra-low profile tires. Live and learn.

Hmm. I see cars with mostly stock (or
stock looking) wheels tires on the side of the road here. Probably worn tires or tires that are repeadtley patched instead of replaced. Depends on the region I suppose. He also lives in Norway. If its anything likewhen I lived in Germany the roads are higher quality and vehicle maintenece is held to a higher standard (and enforcement).

Funny, when I owned a tire shop, I fixed more "regular" tires than low profiles. Of course regular tires outsell the plus sized stuff by a large margin.
